(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
ap2345 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Am I the only one that thinks CAM and the rest of the staff will find a way to blow Romeo's socks off when he comes to IU for that final visit. -
Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers

I agree with this but I'm not sure Newman hires an agent. I don't think it would make sense unless his stock skyrockets which is possible but this draft class is loaded and next years might not be as deep according to the experts. -

Azuibuke wouldn't make any sense imo. He is a center in a draft that I loaded with bigs. Next year he could be a guaranteed first rounder this year he would be lucky to get drafted but who knows. -

You have Quickly confused with Grimes I think. Grimes is the one going to Kansas. -

Next years Kansas roster with them only losing Graham and Mykhailiuk because they are seniors and nobody else is viewed as a first rounder at this point would look like this. Sr. Vick SG Jr. Azubuike C, Lighfoot F, Newman G, Cunliffe SG, Lawson G, Lawson F, So. Garrett G, Moore PG, De Sousa F Fr. Dotson PG, Grimes SG, McCormack C, Agbaji SG Someone is guaranteed to leave because they are already over signed by one. Even if Vick and Newman both left that would still be a lot of guys that would be wanting the basketball imo. I don't think that would benefit Romeo at all. -

Neither is considered a first round prospect according to mock drafts that have been done by espn and nbadraft.net as of right now. -
I believe Team Teague
-
Pierce Thomas is a stud and the Andrean kid plays on the same AAU team with Thomas.
-
I was thinking of Pierce Thomas at Brownsburg, Luke Brown at Blackford, and Kyle Ross at Andrean.

Those are just a few. There's a few others around the state that could still jump to Big Ten level by the time they graduate as well. This class has a chance to be absolutely loaded if they keep developing.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

It just hit me why Romeo might be waiting. He is waiting to see what the rosters look like after everyone either transfers, declares for the draft, or graduate transfers commit to the different teams. He isn't going to Louisville because that would look awful on his part after all the time these 3 coaches have put in. Romeo isn't Garland. -

I want both really bad. This would be a ridiculous roster imo. Starters: Phinisee, Langford, Taylor, Morgan, Thompson? Bench: Green, Durham, McRoberts, Hunter, Smith, Davis, Moore, Forrester, Anderson The size and the length of that team could cause some serious issues for some teams. Now I know we'll have to wait and see if anyone transfers but that team could make a deep tourney run imo. Hopefully CAM can convince Romeo and Taylor of that as well. -
(2019) WR Eli Pancol to Duke

I've seen this for a couple years now having attended several Pendleton Heights basketball games. But here is a glimpse of his athleticism on the basketball court as well. -
(2019) WR David Bell to Purdue

Okay I didn't realize that he retweeted it. Thanks. -

Would he be good enough for CAM to give a roster spot to? That could be enticing for him to be able to be on the roster for possibly both basketball and football. Especially if we are contending for deep tourney runs at that point. -

Am I missing something or was that someone else that tweeted that picture. He might not have intended for that Romeo Langford caption to be posted. -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
ap2345 replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This might lend some credence to the rumor that someone posted last week that TJD told Romeo to stay for 2 years so they could play together. Not saying it's anything but who really knows lol. -
(2019) SF - Mason Gillis to PU
ap2345 replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Very possible. I coach in Delaware County but know several people in and around New Castle. That's why when people kept talking about him playing baseball I knew that wasn't happening because he's had baseball offers for at least 2 years and never taken one of them. -

Just something that I've heard from a couple people that are pretty well connected in Henry County basketball circles. It could be them hoping since they are IU fans but they are also well connected so who knows for sure. But I do trust their insight. -
(2018) G/F Damezi Anderson to Detroit Mercy
ap2345 replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Reality is Anderson won't play much his freshman year. That is why we are looking at grad transfer shooters. -

ap2345 replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Gillis is a stud. He has a body similar to Justin Smith right now. He might not be as explosive vertically at this point but is certainly a better shooter right now. I think he is probably our plan B if we don't land one of TJD and Brooks. I think we end up with 2 of the 3. Rumor has it he would come to IU if given the offer as well from what I've been told. -
(2018) PG Robert Phinisee to Cincinnati

He is possibly the best recruiter that IU has over the next 4 years. -

Yes he did move to Gburg from New Castle. He still has family that lives in New Castle. -

I think Ed was really brought in to get IU in the door for many of these recruits because of his in state connections and his player development. Not to be an actual recruiter. Plus bringing him in helped mend the fences with many of the in state high school coaches that had issues with FCTC. -
6'8 so we would still be undersized unless Davis or Forrester can contribute because I'm not counting on Moore or a grad transfer at this point.
