If you fire a coach after his second year you won't get any good coaches unless they just bet that they will do better or they have a connection to IU. So the only guys that I would say would say yes for sure are Alford, Fife, and Lewis. The most realistic from that group would be Alford but everyone would throw a tantrum that he isn't a good coach, Pierre Pierce, and whatever else there is to complain about. I could make a case for him but I'm not wasting my time on that. The issue with the other two is that there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that is different for the head coach verses being an assistant. That being said it would have to be an IU guy or a very confident coach to take over after only two or three years for CAM. That being said CAM isn't going anywhere unless it is his decision.

Sorry but you aren't building around Romeo when he will be in the NBA next year. As for the other guys on the team you are right except for Durham I think Durham is a decent role player as a 6th - 8th man on a good team but he's not a starter.

The problem is with this IU team is that they are undersized most nights, can't shoot, lack heart and hustle, Romeo isn't what he was made out to be (not entirely his fault), coaching staff has been out coached in numerous games, and the biggest issue is the players on this team outside of 2 or 3 are just very dumb basketball players when it comes to making decisions. None of that is good recipe for success.

The problem is there are to many rumors about what happened in the coaching search and everyone is dead set that what they were told is what really happened. The problem is there are numerous stories about what happened that led to IU hiring CAM.

False. 10 of those times he was playing in the Metro Indy League. Fall league that TJD, Eric Hunter, Aaron Henry and others were playing in. One of those games was against Pierce Thomas who IU has shown interest in. That’s not 1 outlier. I could put together an entire list mostly from Indiana but whatever floats your boat. My opinions are based on my own perspective as I’ve watched him close to 20 times since the fall before his freshman year. One of those games I sat and talked to former D1, D2, and D3 players about him. They all said he is a mid major right now but if he can improve on defense then he is a high major kid. One of those guys was also a D2 assistant at one point. He does get double and triple teamed most nights. I’ve watched it in person and on scout film multiple times. However I can tell you with 100% certainty he will probably be guarded straight up in a few games rather soon so we’ll see what happens. If he wasn’t being triple teamed most of the time he would easily be shooting 43-45%. He is an elite shooter with his mechanics. All you have to do is look at his free throw percentages from last year and this year to see that. Also if you haven’t seen him then don’t act like you know how good or not good he is because that means you are basing it off of a bias for the school he goes to and his lack of offers currently.
