Not sure if it's hard to do or even possible, but occasionally exporting all user email addresses would be a good start to any contingency plans (assuming you don't already do that). And yeah, there's probably not a platform out there that everyone would agree on. I've just spent a lot of time in various Discord servers and have always been impressed with how easily customizable they are, along with all of the out-of-the-box bells and whistles that we'll never have here. Not advocating for a move or anyhing if everything here is working fine. I honestly just think the mods on this site are A+ top tier and would love to see them have more control over something that they themselves have spent years and years and years cultivating into an awesome little community. Like, I would reeeally love to hear that you guys get some of that advertising revenue lol - you certainly deserve it.

Hate to say it, but in my opinion web-based sites like these don't make a lot of sense anymore with platforms like Discord out there now. Not sure how familiar everyone is with Discord specifically, but it would be a perfect replacement for this site if it ever came down to it.

Seems a bit problematic if there's only one site owner and no designated "second in command" type of person. Maybe there is though? If the site owner got abducted by aliens or even worse, by some Kentucky backwoods hillbilly "brother-sister but we're also husband-wife" duo, would we just be done for? I don't post much on this site, but absolutely love it and check it every single day. I miss it when it's gone and would be majorly bummed if it went away forever.

If someone took the job and was really successful quickly, which is very possible in the NIL era, wouldn't they be treated like a God in the most basketball crazy state there is given how long IU has been consistently mediocre / crappy?
