Thats my thought. Really sucks committee is going to hose us but before season if you had said we would either be last team in New Year's 6 or first team out of it in Citrus Bowl people would of laughed. Either way best bowl since 1967.

In another blow to IU, Alabama is being given everything they can handle from Fla. Unless they drop ND out of playoff which I would not count on I would prepare to get a Citrus Bowl bid. Thats the reality at this point as things could not have gone worse for IU from Bowl perspective.

I suppose a huge Notre Dame loss which looks possible could elevate A+M and knock Notre Dame to Orange Bowl which would do same trick to let IU in at 11 but would not count on it.

ND is in no matter what. Clemson as a 2 loss team will be passed by A+M for playoff spot.

You guys are way over thinking this. It is very simple and so far things have not gone well. #1 Alabama will make playoff regardless #2 ND should make playoff but could relegate to Orange Bowl with the big loss. This knocks UNC out of New Years 6 who is below us in rankings but in with ACC auto bid. Notre Dame would take this auto bid spot if knocked out of playoff, opening up an at large spot for IU even if they stay 11. #3 Clemson will make playoff regardless #4 OSU will make playoff regardless #5 TAMU is a New Years 6 Lock or will elevate to Notre Dame's playoff spot if committee decides to drop Notre Dame far enough #6 Iowa St would need to fall below IU in rankings and IU move to 10 to get at large bid if Notre Dame does not fall below 4 #7 Florida would need to lose Alabama and fall below IU in rankings and IU move to 10 to get at large bid if Notre Dame does not fall below 4 #8 Georgia is not playing and will get a New Years 6 spot #9 Cincinnati will get in to New Years 6 as highest ranked non power 5 team with win. With loss Coastal will get this auto bid #10 Oklahoma is into New Years 6 as Big 12 Champ #11 IU is first team out of New Years 6 if Notre Dame holds at no. 4 unless they jump Iowa St. or Florida in rankings tomorrow. If Notre Dame is relegated to Orange Bowl, IU will get an auto spot even if they stay at 11. No one below us will jump us since they either lost or are not playing. Also Oregon has Auto Bid to Fiesta Bowl as Pac 12 Champ despite their less than stellar record. Lots of unfairness but given rules and how things are playing out this is reality. I will update this as games end and more results known.

Big question going forward is can they be the 2015-2016 Men's Team who won Big Ten after horrible Non-Conference or the NW team the year after they made the tourney with same team and completely collapsed and were never the same. We are about to find out. Either way the last two games of non-conference were not acceptable on any level.

I hate to compare Moren to Tom Allen but he is meeting and exceeding the hype. I asked if Allen is Pat Fitzgerald or Chris Collins many times. Right now Allen looks like Fitzgerald and Moren is dangerously close to being Chris Collins. Team looks like they cannot handle the hype which took Collins down and this program is on the verge of doing that if something does not change fast.

UT pulled and we collapsed in last two minutes. Veteran team inexcusable. Dolson needs to call Moren into his office tomorrow and chew her out. When you are trying to build something you can't do this or you will quickly become Chris Collins. To have this veteran team look decomposed in a close game down stretch two games in a row is a HUGE problem. Time to read Moren the riot act. We know we were exposed before Big Ten play. If this team can't play well as favorites time to make some major changes needed as this program will fall apart fast just like NW men who could not handle winning. We are precariously close now to that. I would be very worried about this right now for program. Most disgusting performance I have seen in Moren era by far. Very worried.

I understand we may have been overhyped but to look WORSE is absolutely not OK. How many clunkers can we throw at home before someone realizes this program is not turning into the juggernaut we think. Heck right now they look like they could sink right back to bottom of conference.

Unreal that this has turned into men's team who can't hit shots. Going to be a very disappointing season if something does not change fast. This program now looks shaky.

Penn has looked terrific with some great steals and breakaways to get us back and game. Patberg and Holmes look about as bad as I have seen them which is why we are in this precarious position.

Timeout UT. Lead down to 1. Iu showing some fight but no excuse to be in this position.

Absolute red flags continue. Little better to close 3rd but still down 6. Still a huge issue against a middle pack SEC team. How do we compete with Maryland, MSU, OSU, Iowa and NW who all have length much like UT but are better. With Moran and this was true last yr also is we play our best on road but have tendency to throw up absolute stinkers sometimes at home and that does not seem to have been fixed.

Unbelievable. Vols up 15 now and hitting everything. Raises serious questions about long term viability of program much like Chris Collins who went up and up and suddenly with a veteran team collapsed when they were a favorite. We are big time exposed today and look worse than last yr with EXACT same team. Still time to turn it around but suddenly makes you question if program is on the solid ground we thought or if we are a flash in the pan,. Big questions ahead.

Inexcusable for a veteran team. Vols length is bothering us which I get but since when can't this team hit a shot? Serious questions this team needs to answer about this massive underachievement in second half. Unacceptable performance. Period.

I hate to say it but if this were Archie's team in this spot as a veteran team people would be asking serious questions about whats wrong? Since when can't this team shoot? Some serious questions need to be asked about why this team looks so awful since 4th qtr. of UK game. There is zero excuse for it and team is capable of a lot more as seen in first three quarters of UK game. This is a veteran team that needs to start playing how it is capable of period.

Insane. Can't hit a shot can't defend. Right now they look like a bottom feeder/ Whether they are Big Ten Favorites or not they should be no worse than the top 4 team they were last year and right now they look among the worst teams in the Big Ten. Someone needs to light a fire under this veteran team NOW. This is absolutely inexcusable against a mediocre team.

Thoroughly disgusted right now. We look nothing like the Big Ten favorite and are playing lazy. Since the Fourth Qtr. of the UK game we are way underperforming. If we want to get to where we are supposed to go got to play a lot better. This is inexcusable for a veteran team. Also when did they become the Men's team and be unable to hit shots? This has to change. Tennessee is not even playing great and missing easy looks. IU is just completely asleep at the wheel just like 4th qtr. of UK game.

What we learned: The committee is a joke and hates the whole Big Ten (besides OSU) and kisses the feet of the Big 12, SEC and hates non-power 5 teams. Basically its all about what conference you are in, not your record and who you played. Absolute corruption but its targeted at the non-Ohio St teams in Big Ten and not just IU.

A few yrs ago this would of been a sure loss. However, since Tennessee since Summitt left Vols have fallen on hard times much like IU since Knight and are a boderline tourney team and IU should be heavy favorites. Still a great last minute game to get from a power conference for a decent resume builder.

I can't blame the Big Ten this time. Keeping IU out of Big Ten Championship was criminal, but if everyone else is healthy they should be allowed to play this weekend. Basically, the Big Ten has told IU and PU they can play if healthy and matched all the healthy opponents up which I don't have a problem with. Also, if game is played and we are down a few players for COVID, I would much rather play a bad PU team also dealing with COVID problems than a full strength good Iowa team who would almost assuredly beat us.

Explain how I am cluesless? I said IU is going to get screwed and they are being treated unfairly and it is really unfortunate we are down with Covid right now and really need to be playing to get best ranking possible but cannot. What about anything I said is inaccurate? I would love to know.

Part of me thinks we did this to ourselves if we miss a New Years 6 bowl and part of me is pissed. There is no doubt Iowa has an excellent chance to pass us and probably shouldn't, but if we could of kept Covid under control we would of been able to settle it on the field this coming week. Now with the Covid outbreak we are very likely to be off until our Bowl Game which will probably relegate us to Citrus or Outback. If we want New Years 6 we really need to be playing now and we are not. The committee has a point that Wisconsin is absolute garbage but are still hosing us unjustly and we should be much higher. Our unfortunate Covid outbreak though is ultimately what could very well keep us out of the best bowl available. Otherwise I am not convinced the committee is going to do all this ridiculous stuff people are talking about. Either way by not playing right now we have put our fate in the committee and other teams hands which is never a good thing.

If Sam Story is right on twitter and IU cannot play Iowa next weekend it really does not matter if the Big Ten screwed us out of the Championship (they did) as we would of had to decline due to Covid which would of been interesting. Time to watch other games around us and see if things fall into place to get New Years 6 rather than Outback or Citrus. Would be great for Hoosiers is Mizzou beat Georgia, Wisconsin beat Iowa and UNC beats Miami.
