  3. I know no one asked, but here’s my opinion. Archies start to his tenure at IU has been less than most have expected/wanted. But, he’s the coach we have so he’s the coach I support. This year, the team is right where I thought we would be. Most knew how tough the big ten would be. Everyone knew that we lost our two top scorers and, in J-Mo, the leader of the locker room. Not many thought that this team would be ‘better’ or more skilled than last year. Still, Archie and Co. have raised their win total both overall AND in the big ten. They have played well enough to (probably) earn an NCAA birth and be one of the 68 ‘best’ teams in the nation. Let’s focus on the Nebraska game, and then whatever comes next. 4. This quote from Hoiberg makes it sound like they are shut down for the season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  6. Indiana’s likely BTT opponent Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. Nah. Their 25-6 ranking is deceiving. Two games against non-D1 and of the remaining 29 games, 22 were Quad 3 and 4. No way they are realistically in the field as an at large without SERIOUS bubbles bursting Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. Or for teachers who strategically plan tests so they can watch college basketball :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  11. Bracketville also has IU at a 9 seed and the 35th overall seed https://bracketville.wordpress.com/s-curve/ Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  13. nah, the loss to Illinois was on the road...Quad 1 road games span from NET 1 - 75. Illinois is currently 36 in the NET. Although (now that I have learned this exists), it could turn a Quad 1a loss into a Quad 1b loss, if they were to drop below 40...
  14. Its important to note because, if they had lost, their original win over Iowa at home would've stayed as a quad 1 win. Now that Iowa dropped to 35 in the NET, their original quad 1 win against them dropped to a quad 2. In addition to the number of Quad 1 wins a team has, the committee has stated before that they also look at the number of games played in quad 1 as well.
  15. you know, I never paid any attention to why they were separated. Thanks for the info, as always.
  16. I might be behind the 8-ball on this one, but what is a "Quad 1a" win/game? Are quad 1 games further subcategorized? If so, please explain for the uninitiated.
  17. Preach. But we’re at where we are at. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. I definitely don’t disagree with you. My line of thought wants us to avoid playing the first day so we have zero chance of having a ‘bad loss’ going into selection Sunday (if it were to matter). Playing the Thursday would guarantee a good win/not a bad loss Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. On top of that, if Illinois beats OSU, we get 8th. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. If home teams win (minus Maryland beat Rutgers and Penn State beating NW), we get 9th and avoid the first day Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  21. Or they will play pissed off and out of their *****. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  23. Just quoting your post because its the one that reminded me of the website below.. playing around with http://bball.notnothing.net/big10.php?sport=mbb ... If all home teams win (minus Maryland @ Rutgers), then hoosiers end as the 9 seed and avoid the play-in day. Obviously, too many scenarios to play them all out, but with how difficult it can be to win on the road, its not necessarily unlikely that this could play out in our favor...
  24. Neither of which have Indiana listed. Good news for those naysayers Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. Are you on that website? Didn’t know if you published yours or just do it for fun. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
