  1. It was a bad performance that ended up as a 14 point win against a bad team. On to the next one.
  2. A naked Race? Sounds like something done between drunk frat brothers.
  3. Cool. Just would feel better with names. There is no doubt that Hunter isn't healthy. Saying we are 'almost fully healthy' IMO is saying that we would getting back multiple players of the seven for next game and then within a week the rest (sans Hunter). Little blurbs I've seen from the Indy Star would make it most likely that Romeo and Al are the most likely to play tonight and that De'ron not playing against UTA was mostly a precautionary thing. Sure, we don't need to rush players back given our opponent tonight (knock on wood), but for player and team development we do need to start getting these guys on the court.
  4. Maybe I'm missing the mark here....but I have no idea who Sam Story is. All I found was that he had made a total of 48 tweets and went to IU. I haven't found any solid reports of player's health and I know IU plays that close to the vest.
  5. +1. Fail to see any logic in 'running a team until midnight' that had a five man rotation at the end of the game. But I'm sure fans that suggested running the healthy players we have until they drop would be real forgiving if they came back and lost their next game on tired legs.
  6. It was a fast break play, our medical staff was with him and our coaches were giving instructions to our players in a game that was still in the balance. That's what I observed.
  7. It's a losing proposition to have to be 10 points better on the road in order to win road games. I'm just tired of the state of college officiating.....and I get that we get the same home cooking at Assembly Hall. Just tired of venue determining outcome.
  8. Not going to say that refs were a factor.....but am going to say that in the last 8 minutes of the game, Arkansas was whistled for no fouls. IU had 5.
  9. 20 years ago UCLA fired Jim Harrick right after he won an NCAA title for falsifying an expense report. Those days are gone.
  10. Taiwan mullet? Sounds like Jeremy Lin's next hair style.
  11. I'm not aware of that.....what was that about?
  12. Playing time. It's not that he doesn't want to play with him, but they would be in the same class competing for the same minutes.
  13. Any update on how he's moving? I'm not expecting much from him this year. I am hoping that Fitzner is able to come in and put in 20 or so quality minutes.
  14. During his junior year at Valpo HS, he took 412 shots from the floor but only 30 % (123) were from three. He shot 43% from three and 55% from inside the arc. I’ve seen him play multiple times and honestly, he’s a scorer who learned how to shoot and not vice versatile. I used the Greg Graham comparison earlier and it’s a really accurate one IMO.....Graham was a scorer first then s shooter but by his senior year at IU had developed into a really good shooter.
  15. Why does anybody still bother listening to Dakich? As big of an IU fan as I am, my one basketball wish is that we could reverse time and have the Jordan team play IU one more time just so he could light Dakich's @$$ up. Funny how Dakich doesn't ever talk about how he got his pocket picked the next game which lead to our loss.
  16. I think eventually he will become a coach and be just like Rollie Massimino. Only more Italianer.
  17. I've seen him play multiple times. Rarely seen a player make the jump in their game from sophomore to junior year like he did. Turned his weakness as a sophomore (perimeter shooting) into a positive. Reminds a lot of Greg Graham.
  18. But why mention Indiana and then run a big pic underneath it of him with an Indiana hat? i think we are just going to have to agree to disagree.
  19. But no team is going to take him in the second round. Why would you take a guy that would be undersized for their position In hopes that in time he can develop an outside shot? There are plenty of guys with one wart....you don’t have to draft a guy with two.
  20. That's my main problem....you look at the headline alone: "Before this hoops recruit chose Indiana, Adidas made sure he stayed under its tent" reads as if Adidas was steering him toward Indiana, which isn't the case. Adidas certainly wanted him to go to an Adidas school....there are 102 of them in Division 1 basketball.
  21. Maybe, but If Taj Gibson plays a couple inches bigger than his height he can be an NBA power forward. How many 6’7” power forwards are there in the NBA? There are tons of shooting guards that are that tall.
  22. Tan Gibson should play bigger than 6’7” since he’s 6’9”.
  23. Here is why I really think it was shoddy journalism......pretty important quote that Pitino said that they didn't bother to ask about. “The Dad never asked for a single thing,” Pitino said. “The Mom never asked for a single thing. The kid never asked for a single thing. I thought it was one of the most honest recruitment I’ve seen.”
  24. I guess I just don't see 'the sound research'. Tim Langford running an Adidas backed AAU team was public knowledge. The main source going on record is someone suing Adidas who claims to not know anything going on at his own school.....so not sure why his word would be trusted on items going on elsewhere. I don't have any doubt that Adidas wanted Romeo Langford at an Adidas school. I'm not sure why it's considered news that a shoe company looks to keep players in their AAU 'stable' of schools.
  25. I'd say that's part of their job. But just because it's easier to get clicks by doing the easy, non newsworthy thing doesn't make it good journalism.
