Florida State leads for a total of twenty seconds as they come back and beat Notre Dame. The Irish had a 61-48 lead before giving up 13 straight points. Seminoles make a put back with 3.8 seconds left to break a 66-66 tie. Irish have a half court shot go off the back of the rim at the buzzer that would have won it. Probably keeps Notre Dame from getting any talk about at large.

I am going to the Big Ten tournament on Thursday and Friday. My feeling is that if I see IU play, they are a lock to be in the tournament because that would mean they had 20 or 21 wins. I am the key, ladies and gentlemen,

In your estimation, which happens more often: 1. A team projected safely in doesn't get in; 2. A team projected as not being that close does get in. IMO, it's been #2. I think for the most part, typically almost all teams that were projected in that miss were bubble teams but there have been a couple head scratchers that have gotten in (Tulsa, UCLA a few years back).

We still have the possibility of getting out of a play in game if we beat Wisky and either Purdue loses to Rutgers or Michigan loses to both Nebraska and Maryland. Neither is likely, but it's something. Anyway, being 20-11 and 10-10 in the conference means that our conference tournament is simply to see what our seed will be in the NCAA.

Providence beats Xavier. Both were on the 10 seed line of the bracketmatrix coming in. Clemson loses to Virgnia Tech. Think that probably ends Clemson as they fall to 15-14. LSU loses to Arkansas. Arkansas probably moves up a little higher on the 'out' list, but they still aren't in. LSU was an 8 seed on the matrix coming in. Butler beats St.John's. Butler on the 6 line coming in. Georgetown losing by 19 to Creighton late. They're out. Kansas up 10 in the second half over TCU. On track to keep their 1 seed. Villanova up 14 at Seton Hall. Seton Hall is a 2 on the matrix and Villanova is a 4. Notre Dame up 7 at half against Florida State. Could a win over Florida State put them in the conversation for an at large bid? A win put them at 19-11 and 10-9 in the ACC. Virginia in a close game in the first half with Miami. Dayton up 16 against Rhode Island.

As fans we hate those and they stick out to us. Then you look at teams below us on the S-curve and see they most certainly have had worse things than losing to Arkansas and Maryland.

Please don't get ahead of yourself and put NCAA in year three just yet. I think we're there but.....you know....the NCAA committee.

He's 8 foot 6. That's the only thing that can explain him shooting the ball three feet too far and banking in the three against us.

Plymouth is pretty bad, so Culver should make the finals easily. The Michigan City/SB Adams projected matchup opposite it should a good one. SB Adams is 20-3 and Michigan City is 16-6, but one of Adams' losses is to Michigan City. City will really push tempo and that is the second game on Friday, so fatigue could come into play on Saturday for the winner of that game.

Wasn't that long ago where Georgetown was creeping into some people's brackets. About to lose their fifth straight as they are down 25 at half at Creighton and 15-15/5-12 in the Big East. Next game is against Villanova. Good chance they aren't even eligible for the NIT.

Oturu had 24 points and 16 rebounds, but the funny thing was it wasn't really a good game for him. 11 of 27 from the field, 2 of 5 from the line, and 4 turnovers. TJD's 18/9 was better because it came on 12 shots and 3 free throws and he had no turnovers.

This is something that has happened game after game for them.....be ahead or be right in the game and then lose it down the stretch. After losing to Maryland and Wisconsin basically at the buzzer, I think they view a 7 point lead as insurmountable.
