I was hoping that Tech was going to line up, try to get them to jump and if they didn't, call the timeout. At least would have allowed them to see the front that Georgia was going to use.

Iowa going to have about a 52 yard field goal to beat Nebraska. Were unable to get more than a yard on two runs. Will be a tough kick -- cold and swirling winds.

So unless Georgia pulls this out somehow, have to think their only path into the CFP is to win the SEC title game. Eliminates one path that would see IU out, which is A&M winning the SEC title game and getting an extra SEC team in. Nightmare scenario for the SEC would be for Georgia to lose today, Texas to beat A&M and then beats Georgia in the SEC title game.

Tech drive for any kind of points would be huge and would probably end it. As banged up as Tech's defense is, don't feel good about it if Georgia can tie it up.

They gave Georgia a first down there on the run? He was at least a yard short.

I don’t know about (and still a lot of time left, Georgia could still beat Georgia tech. And if Georgia is at 12, they are out anyway because the big 12 champ bumps them. but there is one thing it does: it prevents A&M from stealing a spot. If A&M beats Texas and then plays a Georgia team that lost to tech, if A&M wins the spot they steal is Georgia’s.
