I get what you are trying to say, but Pitino is not a good example of it in my opinion. He took over a Providence program that had not won more than 15 games in the 7 seasons before he arrived AFTER winning two conference titles in 4 seasons at literal Boston University (Another program that won more than 15 games in a season once in the 15 years before he got there!). Then he made a FF run in year two at Providence. Then he parlayed that job into a NBA head job with included him winning a division title the year before he took the UK job. He was much more accomplished when taking his first big college job than others on your list.
