  1. That wasn't really going out on a limb, was it?
  2. Guys, I really don't care how many stars a player has next to his name. I would much rather wind up with a roster like Butler puts together, where each player knows his role and does it well. Oh, and many of them stick around for four years. I just worry that so many of these 4-5 stars guys are more interested in playing for themselves and not the team.
  3. What is that Dustin Nance guy talking about? Or is he just talking to hear himself talk.
  4. I have to ask. If you were really an "insider" (whatever that is), would you give yourself a name like "BTowninsider"? Looks more like someone just wanting attention.
  5. I would only change one sentence in your post: "They WON'T play defense or take care of the ball." I think they can, but they won't do it.
  6. He was all over some of the guys tonight. Yes, there were some dumb plays, but part of that is on the coaching.
  7. You know, he could have saved himself and everyone else a lot of time if he had just made a numbered list of excuses, then handed out a sheet each game with the numbers to be used for that loss. Tonight's excuses: Numbers 14, 27 & 42.
  8. Yeah, but be serious. We all root for EVERYONE to beat UK with or without Calipari, and we root for EVERYONE to beat Calipari, with or without UK.
  9. I'm afraid we may all be setting ourselves up for a big disappointment. In other words, that Crean stays. It all just seems too much like a couple years ago when a lot of people convinced themselves he was gone.
  10. Agree. It is like what happened at Marquette. He had that stellar year with D. Wade, but what else? He has done pretty much the same thing here. Even with that, I don't think two sweet sixteens equals a final four. Might be wrong about that though.
  11. But then you have to look at the schedule. In particular the pre-conference schedule. Sure, there are the sprinklings of Kansas or UNC, but other than those few? Wouldn''t surprise me to see a Barber's College or New York School of the Performing Arts on the schedule.
  12. OK. So let IU hire Miller from Dayton, then Fife can take that job and prove himself there.
  13. I have to think the Crean rumors directly led to the Donovan rumors.
  14. I would love to see a "scorecard" for posters based on the past accuracy of their supposed inside info.
  15. Yeah, if you want to ignore drugs, not going to class and having players who are full of themselves to the point that even Don Fischer has said it, then the type of players he brought to IU would be what you are looking for.
  16. And that (the offense) is what they were supposedly hanging their hats on. It sure wasn't defense.
  17. The black helicopters were probably the tipping point for him.
  18. Well, there's your meeting. TC threw FG a surprise b-day party at the office.
  19. Well, Mom passed on a few years back so.............. Anyway, what I meant was Calvert and Bailey are two brands of liquor...........thus the pun.
  20. or a bad exhaust or a new Pope or Cheech & Chong or........
  21. Calvert? Bailey? Are you typing this from a liquor store?
  22. These two things don't make any sense to me. So Glass trusts the search firm's choices more than his own? Crean won't be fired unless he finds a job? None of that makes any sense.
  23. I don't know if this is crossways of the rules or not, and if so I am sorry for asking. Where are the posts from these guys (0708 and mile) so many of you are following? I have no idea who they are, or where to look, but it seems a lot of you put stock in their postings.
  24. That is exactly my biggest beef with the guy. Based on his threat, I would have offered to carry his luggage to the airport.
  25. This reminds me of an old quote that I don't fully remember, but it went kinda like this: The coach didn't turn the ball over 15 times per game. The coach didn't stand and watch his opponent drive by him to the basket. The coach didn't take all the ill-advised shots. The coach didn't forget to block out for rebounds. No, the coach didn't make any of those mistakes, but you know what? Neither does a well coached team!
