Two seasons without any drama or off the field issues and then a portal “star” brings us this. No thanks. It just doesn’t sit well with me. Makes me uneasy.

Somehow I get the feeling that this isn’t going to meet Coach Cignetti’s standards.

His presence and insight and inspiration all week will be huge, imho. But this team is going to be incredibly focused and locked in, I truly believe.

I got the impression that he encourages his defense to go after the quarterback in almost a headhunting kind of way. Chambliss took at least one very late full arm to the head in the first half. And Miami took some questionable shots at other guys that ended in penalties. I know that everyone, IU included, wants to play physical football…but late hits…shots to the head…that isn’t what IU is about on defense.

When Coach Cignetti speaks about his players he always says they are young men with high character. They may be what we think of as more talented, but character is also targeted just as much as talent. That’s why humble and hungry works. JMHO.

Rich Eisen says the first call the LV Raiders should make is to Cignetti to come coach Fernando after they draft him #1.

Well, some speculation is that the staff is very comfortable with the players in-house right now. So, maybe that’s the reason. Guess we’ll see.

T Richard…5’8”…207lbs. Highlights I saw referred to him as a power back. Reminds me of K Black.

With the unknown issue with Beebe…T Richard being the new guy…I could see K Martin being the number one guy starting the season. This knowing that the staff likes using multiple backs. If money is the issue…well, that’s why Cignetti is getting paid to make those decisions. Right? JMHO.
