Good point about Cody. Looking back, at the time i thought he would leave after his freshman year.

And very rarely has the player been actual 1 and done material. Romeo. Vonleh. EG. that's it and that's over a long period. A lot of 2-3 year talent (Cody, Vic, TB, JBJ, Troy, OG, etc). I would not be shocked if JHS is 1 and done btw but just saying it is not common.

Turg recruited well for the majority of his time there. He couldn't coach worth a damn though. We will see if Willard is any better in that regard. I believe he will be, but he is not a surefire success.

Week 1 could set the tone for the season. Winnable game, we will see!

While this may be true, I'm glad we didn't get on ESPN. Their coverage (especially for football) is awful. ESPN can sit on a railroad spike.

I was in high school/college when DJ was playing. Some of my favorite memories are of him working the post. Top 5 favorite Hoosier. Congrats DJ on a great career.

I can understand not explicitly stating a recruit will come off the bench. That may be odd, but who know if that is what actually happened. Kaiser is not some transcendent talent. He is good but tbh he would probably not start as a freshman on many tournament teams. 8th or 9th would be good minutes off the bench on a successful team, with the ability to earn more and possibly start soph year. He probably will start at MD day 1 though.

If it is indeed Michigan St. I will be very intrigued how their class translates to the college level. Several prospects that we recruited but bailed on or didn't land for behind the scenes reasons.
