I'm not saying you push them out the door, but when it comes down it kids would rather play at a smaller school than be part of the bench mob. Look at Jurkin. He wanted to play and thought he was ready, coaching staff didn't think so , so he transferred. Im not saying that is how it is going to go with April/Priller but if they were working hard enough they would be in the game. Ryan Burton played last night because he is tough and he works hard. This situation where a kid realizes he isn't going to get playing time he thinks he deserves and transfers out is old news, its nothing new at all and it happens all over the country

Why does he have to give a reason for his sub patterns? Ive never heard on coach explain his sub pattern. You guys are really scrapping the bottom of the barrel these days

Their size is worrisome but their big men tend to foul, A LOT. All we have to do is drive it right at them.

Its been said by Thon and Ed Smith that the overseas deal is not in the cards for them. Hasn't worked well for Mundiay. He got hurt and cut by his Chinese team. If players could play in competitive European leagues then I would see the benefit but so far no one has gone that route and been super successful in the NBA

There are a few more than Roy, but people just don't realize that basketball has changed. The traditional lineup of PG, SG, SF, PF, C just doesn't really exist today. Basketball has evolved from that traditional lineup. Big men have to be able to step out and hit shots and post up. And today's big men are usually someone between 6'8" and 6'11".  Fans need to adapt to the new style of basketball that is being played

Also I think OG is Crean's "replacement" for Troy, I'm just hopeful it's after 1 year as an understudy.

Maybe Hanner and Emmit going up against Priller and April in practice is better (if even just a little) than them going up against Suhr and Rafael Smith in practice.

I think our hard-nosed undersized guy like that, is recovering from a halloween accident.

I see where they could be comparable. Both are known for freakish athleticism, but there are also some big discrepancies.Marion's shot IS ugly, but he was respected for his range and had an amazing mid range game as well. Plus Marion was known for his defense. Could be a goal to work towards but Troy doesn't have the respected shot or the D right now. Currently I see him as more comparable to Gerald Green or James White. Both are dunkers and great athletes who never really have fit into a system in the NBA. James White was a fringe NBA player who was a highlight reel dunker. Neither one shot it that great, although Green's shot has improved the last few years, and neither are known for their D. If Troy leaves too early he is going to be added to the list of guys like Gerald Green and James White (amongst a million other athletic 6'7'' dunkers)

Its only my personal opinion. Ive followed the draft for years and nbadraft.net usually does have super up to date mocks but their mock drafts don't seem to be very accurate in my opinion. Maybe last years was for 2013 but Ive been following nbadraft.net since 2000 or so.
Im not arguing that Troy isn't worthy of a high draft pick, but when all other mock drafts had him about about 20 picks lower it gets a little interesting.
Again its only my personal opinion (we are on a message board filled with them). In my experience nbadraft.net hasn't been the most reliable when it is this early in the year.

I'm glad we are giving a look at some Juco players. There are great players out there in JUCO ball out west.

He looks every bit of it and then some..ESPN's profile actually has him at 6'7''205 not that it matters.

I agree. TW game is slashing. Keep it up.

Yeah but from that small sample size I say keep slashing in games and shooting in practice.
That's been some butt ugly shots.
