    Some fans of a program with 1 winning conference record in 9 years are going to turn their nose up at a coach like DeVries that in year 1 at a high major beat on the court Kansas, Arizona and Zags. These same fans watched IU lose to each of these 3 teams by 20 +. Go IU

    One more win then both Kentuckys and Louisvilles new coaches combined have in the ncaa tourney

    The right one. A coach with 0 college basketball coaching experience when hired to a coach that has grinded his way up the ranks and in his first year at a high major has wins over Zags, Arizona and road at Kansas breath of fresh air that the program is acting like an actual college basketball program again if he is hired.

    Not a HR for some but where IU is at as a program now and as someone who has watched him close for a very long time and have mentioned him multiple times throughout the years in the college basketball thread he would definitely be a HR for me. Fantastic young college basketball coach

    Getting a sitting young Power 5 coach would be a good look for IU. DeVries would be a solid choice and I believe he was on my original list of coaches I wanted IU to seriously look at. If it’s him then IU will have an actual college basketball coach running their program again. Get this wrapped up Scott I got some First 4 to focus on tonight

    Not really he was 6-10 in Q1 with a win at Kansas without his son. Beat Iowa st at home and beat Arizona and Zags all in the same year. IU couldn’t beat any of those teams with Woody. Actually woody was down 20 to 3 of those teams. His team actually got screwed more than IU in making the tourney and he did it without one of his best players. His best player is from Indiana

    I’ve also said McDermott, McCollum, DeVries, Collins, McCasland, Willams would all kill it and DeVries just happens to be next up. I’m just a mailman that wants a college basketball coach leading the program and all of these choices can do that
