  1. I have now seen the first reports from IU sources that he really enjoyed his visit. We will soon find out just how much he enjoyed it!
  2. Hope you're wrong on this one--WayneHoosier.  Although he is not a must-get --I was hoping for news one way or the other on him!
  3. Still no news? Something's gotta leak soon!
  4. Unless there's an open starting spot at Vandy---I just don't get Vandy.  If we really want him I think he comes. If he is a contingency only--he may not. I trust Crean and Martin's eye for talent on that one and we should be hearing something soon!
  5. Did not know about the girlfriend angle on Morgan. Used to rercuit the player--then the dad---then the mother----and now we maybe have to recruit the girlfriend too! LOL!
  6. Rats!--logged on hoping to read news of a commitment---Still waiting.....
  7. Nashville is not any better weather-wise! Humid there too!   Are academics the only Vandy draw--or is there some other connection?
  8. Hovadipo---good find---still have to think we could turn this around!  It's Indiana baby!!
  9. Keep the updates coming ChronicHoosier!     Sticking with the Village People theme---scouting services say Juwan Morgan is a MACHO-- MACHO MAN!   Hey!.......Hey!.......Hey-Hey-Hey Hey!   (Sorry couldn't resist!)
  10. Yeah--come on BBall4iu--quit holding back--we need some news!   :help:   If you can't gives us details we will take any response to our question of----How is it looking for Morgan to IU?   Pick one:   Good----Bad-----or Fuzzy?
  11. Good discussion gentlemen-- just don't forget to figure Holt into your future frontcourt plans---regardless of "stars" by his name- he will become-- A Star!   I like your general premise of sprinkling in a few so-called 5 stars players with several so-called 3 and 4 star players who will stay multiple years and increase in skill--and build experience and depth. Star ratings are one thing--- but good-- old fashioned--experience--especially in the Big Ten-- is equally important!
  12. Don't know how to read this latest development and all the crystal ball flips to Vandy--but if he makes it to Btown this weekend and he is as smart as everyone says he is---and he wants to play basketball at a top notch program while getting a top notch business education---then this is a no-brainer ---it should be IU!
  13. Now-- after making that last post--and after watching his highlight video--I have become FIXATED ON 5 STAR Thon Maker and pray that he will join our team and help us hang banner #6!  :)
  14. We get too fixated on "stars".  There's not that much difference between a high 4 star and low 5 star----someone's subjective opinion. Plus-- a 4 star from last year like Troy who works hard and matures for a year may actually be better than a 5 star this year!  Don't get me wrong--I want 5 star players to come to IU too--but it is not the end of the world if we do not get one every year.  The ability to properly identify talent in recruiting and player development are equally important to "stars" and that is a strength in our program.
  15. Good discussion. I agree with Stuhoo on this one.  I also get disappointed that we don't get all the recruits I want us to get--- but IU has amassed a lot of talent.  Also, at some point we have to trust the coaching staff knows more then we do about who might be leaving---NBA or otherwise.  Just maybe there is inside information we know nothing about. For example, NBA scouts come to practices and have a decent idea of who will be ready for the pros and who will not. Year after year we fret about the scholarship situation and it always works itself out. Next year will be no different.
  16. With this kid--he probably did move it up for academic reasons. But---once IU gets someone on campus---watch out! Things can change in a hurry!  Sign him up!
  17. Thanks CC! I am already on record that I like this kid! Sign him up (with what scholarship I don't know)!
  18. You know what they say Stuhoo-- dental floss lasts a lot longer in Kentucky!
  19. High heels and the steep sides of The Hall probably don't go well together! Also--the photo doesn't shed any light on the teeth situation since she's not smiling! Personally think her pride was hurt more than her body!    :120: :120: :120:
  20. Why JSHoosier? Did she only have one tooth?
  21. Anyone remember the story from that night that some Kentucky beauty queen was complaining she gut hurt in the IU crowd celebration?  Anyone know anything more about that? I watched on TV but for those of you who were there--how dangerous was it really? Dickie V. sounded like he was nervous on TV!
  22. Someone once said it's amazing Smart's shot or the Wat shot did not trigger an earthquake---because for a few brief seconds almost the entire state of Indiana jumped up and down and yelled like crazy!
  23. Hoosier Nation and Wildcat Nation when Watford shot the ball:     :o :o :o   Wildcat Nation when the ball went through the net:                          :( :o    Hoosier Nation when the ball went through the net:                        :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
  24. The Wat-Shot sure caused Hoosier Hysteria----a lot like our last natty championship--it was great because it had been so long since there was dancin' in the streets of Btown.  Hoosier Nation was and is hungry to do it again!
  25. Some memorable moments deserve a thread of their own. Where were you when Christian Watford hit the famous WatShot against Kentucky and how did you react or what did you do afterward---try to keep it clean!!!!  Again-- if you tech savvy Hoosiers could hook us up with some videos of the reactions around Hoosier Nation--this could be a great thread to come back to and relive that historic occasion when we knew IU BBALL was back!   I was at home in Southern Indiana watching the game with my son and we both jumped up and ran around the house screaming like crazy people. My wife came running thinking someone was hurt. She then saw the replay and did the same thing! I remember calling friends and family and talking for hours that night about how IU was back baby! Great memories!
