Man if McRoberts gains confidence on his shot, this team can turn a "ok" corner, considering injuries. He is better on defense than Hartman (quicker laterally) and is all over the place even when he doesn't come up with a ball. And green is probably our best defender (guard). He will learn to not gamble so much. I want this guy to stay for 4 years. I'm still maintaining that Rojo is our best player. I thought he was close but if he really has the drive game figured out, it's a wrap in my head. He's just complete other than a little turnover prone. Jimmy is out of his mind right now. And engaged on defense?! We don't need great defense from him, just average will close rhe gap this team need to pull wins out. What a night for him. I love him posting regardless. If I agree or not, he exudes passion for Hoosier bball and it's very thought out usually. It's feeling like scout all over again. All we need now is Aloha typing ACCENT words in ALL caps! [emoji5] Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app

I feel so bad for anyone possibly losing their season this way. OG was in a but of an odd slump or still trying to put together being "the guy" but regardless, we need that horse!! High mins for the guys tonight. Might we finally see a tight rotation? Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app

This, it's not about what happened last game. On a team that is insufferable to watch on defense, u would think Green is a guy snagging time. Especially how Crean always touts "defense gets u playing time". Sorry mods, I think I will give myself a timeout. I have almost zero good things to say about this team at this point in the season. We just look like absolute garbage. It's really all directed at coach. Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app

And lolol at Blackmon knocking a ball loose and taking off down court to "get his" and realizing no one on IU was near it. We need his scoring but I can't stand watching dude play. Just like against Rutgers when he went out of his way to get the ball away from OG on a wide open fast break. I'm saying he makes no one on the team better. Yall really think Green will play in this game? He didn't even hardly get 2nd half run after saving our butt against RUTGERS, in the first half. Dude is a baller but Crean over thinks the game. Green can actually create so it's dumbfounding that we have this offense based on probing and creativity... and can't utilize the correct players with it. At this point, I'm just kind of hoping Crean makes some changes to match his personnel. I would say run some offensive sets but apparently we have the 8th best offense in the nation. So... every freaking practice should be dedicated to defense from here out. That's surely how any high level coach would handle the glaring need on his team, right? I just don't see how this conference run can go any worse. Bottom of the barrel in the big ten and we haven't even hit the tough stretch. We may be a 8 seed at this point. Keep up the marginal work Crean. I guess all I can say is this team is too young.. but moreso, they are collectively a below average IQ team. Juwan Morgan is smart.. and that's all I got. We are a sweet 16 ceiling program with the occasional tourney miss and bubble. Unbelievable... Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app

Is anyone even surprised at this? I wonder what the stat is on a 9pm game and Crean. I know I constantly skip overtime and then go for 5 hrs of sleep trying to watch a late one and come out dejected every time. My wife even says "why do u even watch late games, have they ever pulled one out"? I honestly didn't know how to answer. I thought about, then no, I guess.. This is the thing. Tom Crean cannot pull theses games out. He absolutely has to have a 6 or 7 point cushion. On a positive note, I think it's time to split Green and Newkirk's time down the middle. Kid looked so much more settled in tonight. Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app

Sorry, are u referring to me? Hartman freshman year and even some of early sophomore was literally what we see of McRoberts right now. Scared and then hesitant to shoot. Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app -

I'd agree that McRoberts is kind of stiffling our offense by his man not having to respect him and sagging off to help on switches and drives. I specifically looked for it yesterday and noticed it many times. Dude has to shoot the ball if he is going to be in the floor. He is literally Hartman all over again.. scared to shoot but does many intangiables. And for his defense, let me start by saying this team just hasn't really shown the guts for defense but I will definitely lump McRoberts in our top 5ish defenders (davis, morgan, OG, Johnson, Newkirk if he turns it on, McRoberts). I'm not seeing his man get by him. He did a great job in Bronstein with Wisky the other night, for example. He seems a hair quicker laterally than Hartman. I guess my thought here is "balances". Crean must see that McRoberts has a statically more positive effect on the game than Green. I personally feel Green needs trial by fire time but he also just came out of Das Boot. May be on a time limit right now. Conversely, I think it's obvious Green has a super short leash with Crean. Reeling in the confidence? That sort of thing happens when the player isn't listening to the coach in practice. Anyway, we need to start giving Green like 5 mins of Newkirk's time. I don't think Newkirk is completely useless but he is definitely frustrating too watch. I would split him and Green and make sure Green understands that he needs to chill on the extra dribbling. Play simple. Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app -

And as a side curiosity. Does tv viewership register somehow with IU athletics? Curious about the average fan just no longer watching. I plan to watch if nothing else is going on but I'm done turning down overtime and skipping family time to watch IU ball. Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app

Absolutely. If yall feel strongly about a coaching change, this is it. Empty the stands. It's hard, it's a moral decision about also feeling like you are abandoning players which don't deserve it. But the band aid has to be torn off at some point. I've not attended a game since one of the first cupcakes, last year. No more money shelled out for this coach. I seriously hate having to do this. My wife even called to tell me she had Nebraska tickets in the cart. I told her to cancel and remember that we are boycotting Tom Crean. It's the only way I feel I can be effective, as a fan. ..and maybe a better plan is to let coach have it, but still be at the game. I don't think it would be effective though. It's worth mentioning that he is a fantastic man and I hope he comes back to play IU and we give him a standing ovation for the rebuild! Seriosuly, that should happen. Our dribble drive offense is absolutely the last thing that should be happening down 3 with 2 mins left. It's time for strategy and specifics, not creativity Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Baha.. we're a joke. Davis doing everything he can to pull the team in. He got HACKED on that last dump. It sounds like everyone in assembly hall knows what to do as the players stand and look at Crean as he calls the 3 man weave to kill clock. Davis and Morgan, high iq.. everyone else, meh Sent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app -

To keep things in perspective, that elite team was garbage from 3 land all season and shot out of their minds. That was rough timing for IU and the lead was never completely out of hand due to us shooting well. I think we cut it to 7 in the 2nd half. We just didn't have the big bodies last year to hold off Meeks and crew. Davis would have been HUGE in that game. Bryant, OG and Morgan are/were not build for that kind of banging.
