  1. An ugly win is still a win. Final score IU 53 - 51 over Miami.
  2. Should never have allowed the women to eat popcorn as a pre-game meal. 24 TOs. Thankfully we've dominated the boards outrebounding Miami 42 - 27.
  3. 5 min. left in the game and we're leading 52 - 40.
  4. End of 3 and we're still hanging in there with a 41 - 38 lead. We've turned it over 20 times, 8 coming from Grace. Patberg and Holmes each with 11; Berger 9; Gulbe 8. Holmes with 8 reb; Gulbe 7. Team just 1-7 from 3.
  5. Can't use the IU site. Try this one: http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=378338&vislive=ind
  6. Midway thru the 3rd Q and we're hanging on to a 38 - 33 lead. Grace flirting with a double-double but a bad one not a good one. She has 9 pts. and 7 TOs. Team with 16 total TOs.
  7. I don't feel really confident but I'm sticking with our Hoosiers 71 Orangecheetos 69
  8. North Harrison 39 defeated Heritage Hills 25. Trent Sisley - 11 points, 6 boards, block and steal in his varsity debut.
  9. Osterman: Trayce Jackson-Davis set the Assembly Hall scoring record tonight, period. Not just among IU players. No player has scored more in a single game in this building, ever.
  10. 32 - 26 IU lead at the half. We had a double digit lead that evaporated over the last 4 min. of the 2nd Q. Patberg 9; Holmes 8; Berger 7; Gulbe 6 pts. Holmes 6; Gulbe and Browne 4 reb. apiece. Grace with a surprising 5 TOs in the half. Miami with some foul concerns. 2 players with 3 and 3 with 2. Holmes our only player with 2 fouls.
  11. The entire list of Hoosiers to score at least 43 points in a game in the program's 122-year history: - Jimmy Rayl - Mike Woodson - Steve Downing - Don Schlundt - George McGinnis
  12. Jackson-Davis' 43 is the 10th-highest scoring output in IU history. Hoosier greats Calbert Cheaney, Steve Alford, Damon Bailey and Alan Henderson, among others, never scored 43 in a game.
  13. Teams we've had the past couple of years would never have withstood the mini runs Marshall made and this game would have had a different outcome.
  14. Jackson-Davis: 37 pts, 4 rebs, 3 assts Johnson: 18 pts, 5 rebs, 4 assts Thompson: 8 pts, 7 rebs, 1 asst
  15. After 1 qtr. Hoosiers with a 17 -11 lead. Patberg 7 pts; Gulbe 4; Berger 3. Holmes 4 reb.
  16. Zach Osterman -- Steve Downing scored 41 in a against Illinois in 1973 that is, I'm assuming, the single-game Assembly Hall scoring record for a player who did not make a 3 in said game.
  17. Baylor transfer Dain Dainja has just committed to #Illini. Played prep ball in Minnesota & former top 100 recruit.
  18. Cathedral defeated St. Ignatius (OH) 67 - 51. Booker 14 pts. and 8 reb.
  19. J Q Roberts is in the house; Bardo isn't!!

  21. Jacob Polacheck - Five-Star forward Kwame Evans Jr. is one of the most highly-touted recruits in the nation with high-major programs hot on his trail. The 6-foot-9, 200-pound power forward from Montverde (FL) Academy, is being heavily recruited by the likes of Kentucky, Duke, Oregon, Texas and Indiana, among others. “A lot of schools have been talking to me,” Evans said. “They’ve been recruiting me hard. It’s going to get more ramped up, so it is what it is right now.” Evans took his first official visit to Kentucky from Nov. 5-7, but says he has no other visits planned currently. “The coaching staff, how hard they want their players to go far,” Evans said of his Kentucky visit. “They earn their respect like they earn their spot on the floor, so that’s what I like.” Evans is one of seven players on Montverde’s roster that was named to the 2021-22 Naismith Trophy Player of the Year watchlist, alongside Skyy Clark, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Vincent Iwuchukwu, Dillon Mitchell, Malik Reneau and Dariq Whitehead. “I think KJ, again, because of the amount of talent we have, he’s going to end up being a great, great player,” Montverde head coach Kevin Boyle said. “He’s so versatile. He has the ability to guard multiple positions. He handles the ball. He shoots the ball. Again, he’s going have a really good season this year. Next year, he’ll blow up into one if not the premier all-around player, prospect in the country. With his versatility, he’s got a made-for-the-NBA type game.” Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 2-ranked prospect in the class of 2023, Evans has played a three-and-D type role on this loaded Montverde roster. “I can handle the ball as well, so pretty much that’s what I do,” he said. “I can also get to the rim, so I can pretty much do it all.” Looking ahead, Evans says he wants to improve his ball handling and motor, while also getting stronger physically.
