This is kind of where I'm at right now too. Not because I'm pessimistic about Garland, but because I have hope in Green becoming a really solid PG by his Junior year.

I agree with you guys that the guard depth would be fantastic, but there's also a minutes component when it comes to factors taken into a commitment. I'd love for Darius to come, but for the level of player he is, would he get as much floor time as he would at some place like Vandy? Not sure of their roster situation, just using them as an example.

What's everybody's thoughts on PG minutes next year. Assuming Devonte Green maintains his level of play, how do we fit Phinisee and Garland both into the rotation? I'd imagine Phinisee takes a little bit of a backseat his freshman year but Garland will probably earn minutes as soon as he sets foot on campus.

It was the Devonte Green show for sure. Hopefully we can get some more offensive production from Rojo and Davis....we're gonna need it from them.

Maybe it's partially because Louisville was considered to land him despite this prostitution scandal going on. I just feel that the type of kid Archie/IU is trying to land wouldn't even consider going to a program run by a sleezeball. Also, like Dalton, I like setting low expectations so it hurts less when inevitably it comes down to us and another school and the other school ends up landing the commitment lol

For some reason I just don't feel confident we'll get this commitment even with all this investigation stuff going on. I feel like we have a better chance with Garland.

Not to be a Debbie downer, but it looks that lighting, flexing, and also a little tanning are the main things making it appear there's a difference in those pics. I'm sure the guys have made progress this summer and if the figures quoted above (deron's vertical going up 8 inches) are true than they have made excellent progress. Although I will say in deron's case it's abundantly clear he's made great progress.
