So if SOMEHOW IU manages to pull an upset, will everyone jump back up on the wagon?

Since the thread has been bumped...the foundation obviously still has some cracks and flaws but if CKW was gone tomorrow, I still think he has set up the program in a better place for the next guy.  And I don't see a change being made barring a truly disastrous remainder of the season.  This team can still win 5-6 games.  I do think another non-bowl season can and should put the heat on his seat heading into Year 5.  Some would argue the heat should already be there.  Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.  Only Fred Glass truly knows.  I'm pretty frustrated with the BG game but I'm not in FIRE EVERYONE mode.  Not now, not yet.  Trying to stay somewhat rational while also being critical. 

2 games in, and yeah...it's frustrating to lose to Bowling effing Green...
but...
the beauty of it is...is that they still can pull some quality wins and improve on last year...

I'll never leave the bandwagon.  I may be grumpy and disillusioned, but IU has always been and will always be my team.

Am I the only one that still has faith in us reaching a bowl game? Okay we lost to Bowling Green, but when you look at it, their fast paced offense was what gave our defense problems. These guys are still learning the new system and you could see they had issues lining up and getting ready for the following play. When the defense had time to get ready, they usually were able to make a play. Hell this loss might motivate them to play better. I think we beat Maryland at home along with North Texas and Purdue. That gives us 4 wins, plus hoping we can beat Iowa and someone else (Big Ten is really down this year) to get us to the 6 wins that we need.

Offense finally looks like it has some kind of rhythm

5 touchdowns for IU this season...NONE of them through the air. Who would have guessed that?

What a hit by Hardin! That's what we like to see!

It was a combination of Indiana State defense protecting the pass, young receivers not running the right routes/not being totally in sync with Nate, the nerves of the first game of the season, and Sudfeld not reading the defense quick enough to get rid of the ball. I've also read in a few other  forums that it could have also been by design to not give (practically any) film to our next opponent, Bowling Green. Since Bowling Green's starting QB is done for the year my guess is we'll see the same type of plain vanilla offense that we saw against Indiana State for the majority of the game. I think if we do this, Mizzou will again have no film to study on us. In the end, Sudfeld is one of the better QB's in the Big Ten and the offense will get more in sync as the season progresses but as it was mentioned, some of the young receivers will have to step up.

8-4 Call me crazy! But I think we can beat Mizzou, they lost a lot of talent from last season. I think the team even has a chance of starting 5-0 and create some buzz. I think we upset either Mich. St. or Michigan.
