  1. Looks like IU will be busy hosting recruits for the next few weeks before signing day. According to 247 we are hosting these guys this weekend (I'm sure there may be others that are not listed): 3-star OLB Zo Bridges (Troy Commit) 3-star OT Paul Ramirez (Uncommitted) 3-star RB Cole Gest (IU Commit) 3-star WR Phil Benker (IU Commit) 3-star DT Dequinton Osborne (UCF Commit) 3-star OT Ryan Smith (IU Commit) 3-star WDE Jacoby Hill (Uncommitted)  3-star WR Taysir Mack (Rutgers Commit)
  2. It will be hard to get him away from OSU...
  3.   Really like our chance with Kiante! This is what happens when big time programs recruit over players. Michigan had 4 RB's total (?)  including Enis in their 2016 class. Same thing happened to Tim Hart at Tennessee.
  4. No sorry, not JT. My name does start with a J and I do live in Indy though!
  5. I know a lot of people don't really pay attention to class rankings (even I think they are a little overrated), but after two new commitments today we moved up about 10 spots to 67 according to 247 rankings. I think we can move up even higher and have another top 50 class this year! Still plenty of talented recruits looking at our program. A lot of optimism around the Hoosiers!
  6. Welcome aboard #14!! Nice to see us beat out Cal and Nebraska (among others) for Wonnum!
  7. Coach Frey will have him playing like an all-American in a few seasons!
  8. Does anyone know what the expected size of the 2016 class will be? We have 13 commitments already; how many more should we expect? I thought I had read 18, but that was sometime ago and before anyone declared for the draft.
  9. No not yet. Inge and Wilson paid him a visit yesterday and it sounds like it went well. Obviously, Inge can't actually mention any names of recruits on social media so his tweet was just a hint. BTW he attached a picture of some Memphis bbq...
  10. Looks like former Oklahoma commit, Pernell Jefferson, will also be taking a visit on January 29th. #iufb
  11. We are all entitled to our own opinions and all I'm saying is I see nothing wrong with allowing someone like Tim to join the program. Obviously because he has been in trouble and kicked off another program, he would be on a shorter leash than other players. But I trust the coaching staff to make the right calls when recruiting some these kids, they can judge their character a lot better than any of us that don't have face-to-face interaction with them.
  12. 1. We are not talking about basketball here. Basketball players are under much higher scrutiny because of the repeated offenses. 2. When you originally said he "got in trouble too much for OSU" you implied he was continuously getting in trouble. He was there for a short period and had one offense and he paid the consequences. 3. In regards to being suspended at the beginning of the season, do we even know the reason?? It could have been (not saying it was) something as small as missing practice. It wasn't serious enough for an arrest, otherwise we would have heard about it.   It may just be my opinion but I don't see why IU should have never allowed him in the program. If he showed he learned from his mistakes at OSU and showed he matured while he attended a year at prep school; why not give him a chance? I'm guessing in your opinion, Ralph Green shouldn't even be on the team anymore? Same with Latham (well he is moving on either way)? or Isaac Griffith?
  13. Uhhh got in trouble too much for OSU?? He never even got to play for OSU. He was dismissed as a freshman in the summer of 2013 while he was there for summer workouts. I think Meyer used him as an example after Carlos Hyde and Bradley Roby had just been arrested a couple of day before Gardner. Tim's charge was not nearly as bad as Hyde's or Roby's either; he was charged with obstruction of justice. Let's not judge right away and say IU "can't have any more Tim Gardners"; we all make mistakes. After his dismissal he went to a prep school for a year and then landed at IU. But to your post, I don't think Tim "got in trouble too much for OSU"...he made a mistake and he paid for it.
  14. I was excited for next season already! Are season tickets on sale yet!?
  15. Well good thing they aren't making their free throws!
  16. Maybe a co-DC?? Hard to think Wilson would fire Knorr so quickly!
  17. List of visitors this weekend (According to 247): 3-star DT Amir Watts 3-star WDE Quayshon Alexander (Nebraska commit) 3-star OLB Dee Walker 3-star TE Dennis Wonnum 3-star QB Peyton Ramsey (IU commit) 3-star TE Albert Okwuegbunam (Missouri commit)   Hopefully we hear a 'BOOM' from coach Wilson this weekend!
  18. 5. Baylor received the distinction, “Team of Freaks” by CBS Sports this year, what are some of the most impressive feats you’ve witnessed from your athletes? Caton: One of the most amazing things I have seen is 340lb lineman, such as Cyril Richardson, doing full pull-ups.  That is such a hard task for big men but they make it look easy.  We have really strong guys (squatting 600 or more), we have really explosive guys (multiple receivers and defensive backs jumping 40inch verticals), and we have really fast guys(a lot of skill in the 4.3s and our starting linebacker core in the 4.4s) but the freakish stuff comes on Saturday.  The athletes come to college to play football, not lift.  That is where all the really freaky stuff happens, when guys out run or run through guys.  That is the stuff that matters, the really FUN STUFF!!!   Sounds like a great hire! Actually really surprised we were able to lure him away from Baylor! I guess he can see we're becoming a football school...
  19. Wilson mentioned even though they experimented with Diamont in the slot, he is still a quarterback for the team. Especially with J-Shun Harris and Mitchell Paige coming back.
