This isn’t being talked enough about. Woodson gets announced he will get another year. Less than 24 hours later his biggest recruiting commitment has left. Is this not ringing any alarms to the positive IU fans yet?

Absolutely! Money talks but not when the program is completely in flames. Opposing schools have a better shoe deal, just as much money, and a winning program with a better staff. There is no reason why a portal kid should come to Indiana this spring.

I’m so glad we’re back boys and girls. I was sad this morning knowing I didn’t need to check this thread anymore. That has changed. We’re back and we’re full steam ahead!

Can we please discuss Liam announcing he’s not attending IU LESS THAN 24 HOURS after Dolson confirmed Woodson will be back. That is BOLD! That will send a message to Dolson.

This is the best news I’ve heard about Indiana Basketball in a long time. In order for change to occur, we need variables to change. A variable has changed. The boat continues to sink deeper and deeper. Beating bad teams in a bad conference doesn’t justify another year of being a head coach. Fire Mike Woodson!

This is the honestly the best news we could’ve gotten after yesterday. This will have Dolson rethinking his decision. Indiana will swing and miss in the portal. Woodson will lose badly next year and we will be looking for a new coach next March. Next year will be a waste of time on everybody’s part.

Coaches all over the country are doing the exact same thing. The better programs are already in DM's offering money. Malik is likely getting offers currently. Trey will likely get offers as well. Six figure offers I should add.

I’m still upset after yesterday. The smoke could be seen from Brown County. Dolson must’ve gotten pressured to leak that to Zach yesterday. Nonetheless, I still think we’ll see some kids leave. Ware to the NBA. Mack will get paid elsewhere at a better program.

Indiana would have 7 banners if Kelvin Sampson was the current head coach.

So Indiana will win a couple more games and have a mediocre year. Woodson will land some mediocre portal kids and win 19 games next year and Dolson will extend him. If that happens, we’ll never get rid of him.

The truth is the Big Ten isn’t very good in men’s basketball. And yet, Indiana still isn’t a good team in a mediocre conference. The conference will still be meh next year with the new PAC 12 teams joining. None of those programs are playing inspiring basketball.

Dolson and Zach have a connection. I’ve talked to Zach about it before at Switchyard.

Today was devastating Chris. This is worse than when they closed Dunnkirk on Kirkwood. Just when we were making progress Dolson puts an end to it. Time to lose out and for players to transfer.

Dolson got some heat from QB from the amount of smoke recently along with emails to the BoT. QB told Dolson to put an end to it. Dolson leaks to Zach that Woodson will get another year.

That is a major concern. Especially with the Big Ten being below average next year. However, I expect several major transfers out from Indiana while Woodson fails to attract great players yet again this off-season.

Armond Hill is the chief of staff essentially. Woodson isn’t listening to anyone that Dolson tries to bring in, that’s been clear. Woodson wants yes men and that’s what he has around him.

Goodman mentions Indiana should bring in a chief of staff. They already have one, that’s Armond Hill. Don’t be bothered by his official title, he’s only there to give Woodson his input, nothing else. Is he going to bring in Randy Whittman? Replacing Kenya or Ya is pointless. Any new coach coming in should expect to only be there a year and to recruit 24/7 while Woodson sits around and watches Atlanta Hawk game film from 2008.

Dolson made the news official with three guaranteed basketball games left. That tells the fan base he’s okay finishing 16-16 with all the resources that the program has.

I mentioned that on the previous page as well. The timing is very odd with all the smoke today from this message board along with the buyout article from Zach yesterday. Dolson is reading the message boards and the BoT is tired of getting hate emails.

Very interesting Dolson leaks the news to Zach the day after he writes a story regarding a buyout. Meanwhile we have lots of smoke coming from this board today with Jerry, Chris, and Cathy. Dolson is reading this message board. This is the wrong decision Scott. You’re moving the goal line down further.

Well, what do we do now folks? Dolson ended the basketball program tonight. Also, credit to Zach. He’s connected well to Dolson. I figured he’d be the one who broke the news regardless. Guess I’ll be back when the portal opens up and we lose the current players to better programs.

Alright, I’ve had some time to process the devastating news. This will set us back, no question about it. Did we not learn from Archie’s case of keeping him four years? Woodson isn’t changing, new assistants won’t magically make the team better. Recruiting won’t pick up, great guards won’t sign here for NIL. Woodson already ran off Fife and Matta. New staff members won’t change Woodson’s stubborn attitude towards the game of basketball. Indiana will be bad next year. It’s going to be a complete waste of time and resources as Dolson will be searching for a new coach next Spring. Why wait around? I grew up an Indiana fan, went to IU but I will not support the basketball program with Woodson as the head coach.
