can't argue with that. strange that it's so different. What are the benefits of 2 halves over 4 quarters? would having 4 quarters negatively affect the fans or players?

I think Rob is going to have a great sophomore year. Although the players aren't grinding it out in B-town right now, Rob's posts on social media are showing me that he's doing double workouts almost every day in a gym back near his home. Coach Crean likes Rob because he's a hard worker and has his head screwed on straight. I'm expecting big things out of him in the near future.

You meant pathetic defense, right? I'm pretty sure the offense wasn't an issue last year.

Thanks, Kentucky for revealing yourself

Can we further discuss the rumors of Cal to Pelicans?? http://www.nola.com/pelicans/index.ssf/2015/05/john_calipari_interested_in_pe.html Not sure who the "source" is for most of the articles out there right now, but it's rumored that Pelicans were willing to pay around $4 to $5 million, while Cal currently makes $8MIL. Interesting to note that he hasn't signed that contract extension that UK offered recently... "But Calipari makes about $8 million annually and recently agreed to a one-year contract extension through 2022, which he hasn't yet signed." Is there a "standard" time that NBA teams will usually hire on a new coach during the offseason? Whether Cal is actually interested or not, I'm curious to see how this all plays out and if the article is true or rubbish. -
Last game I went to was the IU home loss to Purdue... Sucked. Walked around the court after the game and on the way out, ya boy Tim was walking by. When he was closer, I said "Uncle Tim! Glad you're a Hoosier"

Jordan Hulls - IUBB Recruiting Coordinator
Hutch89 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
@ProBallHoosiers: Big congratulations to @JordanHulls1 and @KB_Prishtina (Kosovo) on their Balkan League C'ship win today! Jordan led the way with 22 points. -
Holt will be working on his shot no doubt this summer, and seems like a dedicated enough worker to get better every day until next season offensively. Providing some good spark defensively is key for IU though. So I'm really excited about what we can expect from him on the other end of the floor.

I still believe that Nick Z will be gone, but I hope not! We'll find out soon enough though.

@JeffRabjohns Lot of good info here: Video: A conversation with Thomas Bryant - http://bit.ly/1DoOBQQ (premium) #iubb What's this new interview with Thomas Bryant say? It's premium content on Peegs, so I can't watch it! https://indiana.rivals.com/barrier_noentry.asp?sid=942&script=%2Fcontent.asp&cid=1752753

Marylands looking good for next year with Diamond Stone commitment.

Heck, it would be fun to see a practice with Yogi initiating the offense if we had Maker, Bryant, Troy, and Hanner on the floor at once. FGCU would have nothing on this 'dunk-city'.

I'd like to think so too, but i'm afraid that it's not my opinion that he will be leaving, but rather some inside info.

It's a 15 month program, but I believe you can finish it sooner than that
-
Might have a class or 2 to complete over the summer though, but still.

Nick Zeisloft is on track to graduate this summer.. i can't imagine that he would be back next year.

Haha hope not!

Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets
Hutch89 replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Shows what a disfunctional locker room can do to a program. Hope this kid can get himself in a better program with supportive teammates. -
and honestly, I want the one-and-done NBA rule to end as quickly as possible almost exclusively so that Kentucky can stop doing what they're doing. it pisses me off
-
Yeah for sure, other teams would catch up quick. I'm not saying i'm for or against the shot clock change at all, i'm really quite neutral on it. I think how it is today works well, and as someone earlier had posted, it's more of the one-and-done rules that have taken many of the good players out of college, but who knows.
-
IU's game under Crean is already quick. I feel like we usually get our shot off well before 30 seconds, but depending on what kind of defensive pressure we're seeing at the moment. 30 second shot clots would probably favor our team, as it would force higher pace, and we already play that style. There would be a lot of teams that would need to adjust though, like Wisconsin for instance, who likes to take their time until the perfect shot opportunity presents itself.

I'm definitely going to go to several here in the coming month, especially since I'll be back working in btown for good as of next weekend.

So if I were to buy a GA ticket to a women's game, am I pretty much able to sit wherever I choose? Like as close to the floor or IU bench as possible?

This ones going to be on BTN too. Just a heads up for those wanting to watch on tv
