  1. I may be misremembering, but it seems like most of the injuries were rolled ankles, concussions, Race getting an elbow to the face, etc. Those don't have anything to do with strength and conditioning. I don't remember many muscle pulls but I could be wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The Knicks led the league in 3s and makes. He made Steve Novak a legitimate offensive threat. He was ahead of the game in running a modern offense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Under his coaching the Hawks went from 29th to 2nd in offense, and his 2012-13 Knkcks team had the highest offensive eating in the league. I don't know if that was because of assistant coaches, but I think he knows what to do to put together an offense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I don't think Belein would want to be an assistant, but I also don't think Woodson needs somebody to help with the coaching side. He has tons of coaching experience, unlike Howard when he was hired. Woodson needs some recruiting aces as assistants, not an Xs and Os guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'm sure he barely knows Woodson. Perfectly reasonable for him to save his thoughts for when he actually sits down with him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hopefully Woodson tells TJD he can do for him what he did for Randle if TJD comes back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yes for sure. Bill Simmons has mentioned many times how he thinks Melo is underrated and that players in the league have a much higher opinion of him than most fans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'm not thrilled with the hire, but I'm talking myself into it... Recruiting worries me a bit. I think he can probably be a decent recruiter based off of the NBA experience, but he needs some assistants to help there since he's never done it. As a coach though, he seems good. He was an elite offensive coach in the NBA. His Hawks teams were great on offense but the end. His Knicks team led the league in Offensive Rating and was one of the early teams in the 3 point revolution. He was an assistant with the Clippers under Doc, and they had great offensive teams. Who knows how it'll work out. It's not inspiring, but I think it could work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The decisions of Duncomb and the guys in the portal will be very telling on Woodson IMO. If he gets those guys to come back, and especially if he can keep TJD, that will be a great sign for the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I hope Woodson works out, but I would have felt a lot better about wasting so much time tracking this if it was Stevens instead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. The barstool writer was just pulling that from a tweet from somebody else. The barstool guy didn't really know anything but was just aggregating all the reports out there. I don't know anything about the guy who tweeted that Stevens tried to resign twice, so I don't know if it's legit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I haven't watched much arkansas this season, but this offensive gameplan is a disaster. Lots of quick long 2s so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. He's either right, which would be awesome, or an extremely committed troll, which would be less awesome, but pretty funny. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. The Holtmann rumor doesn't make sense to me. OSU is a good job in the same conference. Why would we think he would be interested when he's already got OSU in a great spot? OSU has plenty of money too. I have a hard time believing Dolson saw him as a realistic target Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Right. Who cares if we get our hopes too high and end up disappointed? We're all following this for fun. We know there's a good chance Stevens won't be the next coach, but it's fun, and there's nothing else to talk about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. If anybody is interested, Nate Oats is on the episode of Pardon My Take that just got released. They had Musselman on a couple weeks ago as well. Listening to the Musselman interview you could understand why college players want to play for him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. This is how I feel too. Obviously Stevens is a great coach, so that would be great. But if Stevens came to coach, it would say a lot nationally about the program, and that would feel good as a fan. In terms of the actual coaching, I think I'd be equally excited about Stevens and Oats for the future of the program, but the short term excitement would be higher with Stevens. 19. I believe the Archie announcement was also the last Saturday in March, and right around noon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Turgeon is the only name mentioned so far that would really bum me out. I'd rather take an unproven IU guy, and I'd really rather not go that route either. Turgeon is a bad coach. Solid recruiter, but he puts a ceiling on his teams Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I think there's a lot of overreaction going on here. Guys entering the transfer portal should have been expected. I thought it would happen immediately, but it just got delayed about a week. These guys are doing the right thing for themselves and keeping their options open. I'd expect at least a couple of them to be back. In regards to the coaching search taking a while, yeah I was hoping it would be Stevens like everybody else. But after that, who would people want that is available right now? The hot coaching candidates (Oats, Musselman, Moser) are still in the tournament. Beard is interesting too, and it sounds like they've reached out to him now, but IMO there's no reason to rush this if Dolson is actually interested in one of the guys still in the tournament. I don't think any of the players in the portal are going to commit to a school in the next week, and I would guess they're going to want to be back if they're excited about the coach. So yes, Dolson needs to nail the hire, but I don't think he should feel like there's a time crunch.
  22. He was exceptional at Buffalo, immediately turned around Alabama, has proven to be a very good recruiter, and runs a modern style. I understand that the buyout may be too much, but he would be my clear #2 after Stevens
  23. I actually really enjoyed watching that championship team. They can be boring, and I wish they played a bit more uptempo, but it can also be fun to watch when there is good offensive personnel.
  24. He just fired Murray a couple days ago
  25. In the last 3 years he's signed 6 top 100 players. The 2016 class, which was the one responsible for leading them to the championship, had 4 top 100 players. He's not my first choice either as I'd prefer a more up-tempo style, but he gets good talent. He doesn't get 5 stars, but he gets very good college players who stick around. I think IU would be really good if he came, but I'd prefer to watch a different style.
