This one hurts but I can’t blame him. Early favorites typically lose when the recruit takes a long time to make a commitment. Just too many opportunities for other teams to cast doubts on your program. Saw this with Tyler Zeller first hand.

This is a typical misleading post per usual. Kentucky for a decade and a half has always gotten top 5 recruiting classes and besides Cals first couple years they only won one championship. IU during that same tenure has had good recruits coming in . it’s coaching that will dictate where we go. With the kids coming in you’re going to need a coach that makes them gel. That takes a ton of time and commitment and if you’re being fair, Coach Woodson has had problem devoting that type of time. The question I have for our fanbase is that if this is the best talent he has/ bring in and if we just get to the sweet sixteen….. are we ok with that?

Hopefully Coach Woodson is on the phone and hasn’t given up.

I know I’m the #1 Mike Woodson hater, but I think the roster is solid. If Mgbako just plays a little bit better D we’re going far on just talent alone. I think his shot will be better because naturally you now know what to expect out of D1 Basketball. Talent alone we make it to the sweet sixteen.

I hope that Mullins is real firm at staying local because from the time I worked at UNC it was not uncommon to get already committed recruits or players at UNC to speak down about a program they were once involved in. Hopefully Liam doesn’t get in his ear.

Truth is truth man. However even a crappy coach can still win with a boat load of cash if that helps. Hope it works out.

Knight can coach though. Sorry I just thought that was obvious.

Sadly old enough to see this show multiple times. Let’s hope we win big this year.

I think he stays. This guy just thinks differently. He already knows how good he is. I think he just wants to get a fair shot to compete at the college playoffs. SEC right now has more football depth than we do so depending on the team, recruiting might actually too hard to come by. Just my opinion. We have to pay him accordingly though.

I have curiosity question. Does a highly recruited athlete get inundated with a bunch of people to the point that he doesn’t have much free time for himself? Or does he have time you know….. to be a kid outside of basketball?

Following the Coach Crean method of scheduling. Can’t wait till somebody throws the “ have you seen our win / loss record” as an excuse until the big ten season starts.

And because those coaches were awful but Woodson is meh? You become ok with that? You keep pushing until you get it right. The goal is championships not “yay we made the dance or yes we made it to the sweet sixteen” . Again recalibrate your goals. Forget the guy and just be honest with yourself…….. he’s not the guy.
