    Picking IU at the bottom of the B1G is always the safe pick.  Illinois is the one I don't get.  Their defense was worse than ours, they don't return anyone that great on the offense.  Yet, they are two spots above us???  I can't wait for the daysome does not pick us last or next to last in the B1G.

    I don't usually go out much for panfish, other than ice fishing, but the crappies are really biting on Lake Winnebago right now.  Got these in about 45 minutes, and threw back 8 more.  Fishing with a buddy off his dock!  [attachment=2051:crappie.jpg]

    I agree with all but your 2nd sentence.   Especially when it is happening, they do not know that.

    I have no problem booing professionals.   These guys are not professionals.  I think being silent is more than enough to show your displeasure for bad play for college players.

    The fish we were looking for are not all this big, but this one weighed in at 212 pounds.

    Spent the weekend watching the Winnebago TV.  Hoping to spear a sturgeon.  The only thing that makes this sport bearable are the Bloody Mary's that start flowing at 6:30 AM.  I've been doing this for 15 years, and have yet to see a sturgeon that I could throw at.  :)

    Recruiting rankings are really just guesses, but they are an indicator of a program's strength.  Natty, brought up the 2/47 rankings as having us 9th in the B1G.    ESPN says we are 6th in the conference,   Rivals has us 7th,   Scout is the outlier, and they have us as 13th  WTF!! So I think all 2/47 did was let the other services do the work, and take the average!!

    Didn't we lose out on a big from Bedford North Lawrence?  I thought I remembered seeing where she decided to go elsewhere.  Or was that this years recruiting class?

    I would say we are getting a pretty good return on our investment.  I don't follow a lot of the specifics in regards to recruiting, but do look periodically at how the services rank us in the B1G.  All but Scout have us in the upper half of the conference.  That is pretty good IMO.

    Just a BIg A$$ lake trout.  He tipped the scales at 17.5 pounds!

    Just got back from my annual ice fishing trip on the border of MN and Canada.  First day we limited out on Lake Trout, but had to hike back through the snow almost 2 miles to get to the lake.  Thank God for snowshoes...

    I almost turned the game off.  Glad I gave it a couple of more minutes!  This has been a great day of college football.  I only saw one bad game, and since it was FSU that got beat....  :)

    Was hoping for a traditional BIG vs PAC for the championship, but it is not looking good.  Alabama showing OSU how to play football.

    The MSU game has kind of turned around to be interesting.

    I hope that Alvarez doesn't let Stave throw the ball farther than 10 yards this quarter.  If so UW might pull it out!

    Natural:  only as a fan, but considering a big chunk of my income will be going to support the University, I feel compelled to want them to do well!.  I've told my son, I will wear red everytime I come to campus, only he and I will know it will be for IU, not UW!   Plus as an older guy I like watching UW in both football and basketball.  They play more "traditional" B1G style games.  I like that.
