I know this was talked about a little bit, let’s say Stevens agrees to take the IU job after season ends. Can something like that be announced early with him continuing to coach his team? I don’t see how IU athletics could go though the rest of March , much less April, May and June without letting us know what direction they are heading. Brad has an obligation to coach the Celtics and was just given an extension last year. It would have to be an exit deal right? This is my common sense side coming out of me while things are quiet. If Stevens is not going to workout, I’m not as big on Beard. I wonder how his recruiting will do in Indiana. Texas kids are really far away to come to Bloomington. I respect his tournament run a couple years ago. Bobby Knight connection is cool, but not a game changer for me. His offensive style a play seems a little boring to me. Not sure how recruiting mid west and Indiana kids will respond. I guess I’m just torn. Have kind of been leaning more towards Oats and Mussleman with Drew and Belein/Matta as back up. My biggest concern is that as confident as Dolson seems, we end up with another Archie type hire. The reason I say this is because if the top coaches we want are happy with their current position, family settled etc, do we have to overpay another up and comer or gamble on a retired old dawg?
