I love the idea of us getting Stevens as our coach. The parts that don’t add up for me are that Steven’s got a raise from Boston after we offered(False). We offered the Job To Matta which was said to be true by our insiders. Can’t be true if Stevens is coming. Calbert and Woodson hype. That’s why I am tying to be more cautious this time around. I don’t believe it, just more wishful thinking. I will admit I’ve hoped for awhile now that the insiders were right on Stevens coming back home. I’m in my mid 40s and loved Calbert as a player. However, I do not think he is the answer. My biggest fear is him being mediocre and having to hold on to him for a decade. That is one of the downfalls of hiring within. Calbert seems like a great guy, really soft spoken, from my hometown. Lots to love, but I feel out of all the coaches not actively in the tournament, I like Belein, Fife and maybe Lewis before him due to their coaching experience.
