  1. I think it’s out and the coaches know. Could be wrong, but usually flips right before are accurate
  2. Armaan is expected to announce tonight around 6, per Rabjohns.
  3. Looks like this is happening. I’m warming up to the idea that he will be a solid 4 year guy. We need those in the program. Hopefully Armaan excels and becomes a great player here. I do like that he’s from Indiana and that our “lowest rated” player had offers from Ohio State, Purdue, Xavier, etc. I also think we need to land a stud guard in this class yet. Armaan will take time to develop, and having only Green, Durham, Phinisee, and Franklin as guards next year worries me.
  4. That doesn’t mean we won’t though. I’m not up-to-date on the APR, but It’s not up to us. It’s up to the kid
  5. I think we all have a name or 2 in mind. Plus it would be better roster balance IMO. Add a guard, lose a big
  6. We can take 4 easily. Plus, Ramsey would play over Franklin
  7. If we get Franklin, we REALLY need him to pick up his shooting ability. We won’t have a knock down shooter at the 1-2 positions on the entire roster if not.
  8. I don’t disagree, I was just saying facilities help. If we were on par with even the bottom dwellers of the BIG, we could recruit just a little better. That would actually help with results on the field
  9. Facilities always help
  10. I will say this. We’re spending money to “get on par” with programs that are spending more money to move ahead. That’s not going to work at a place like IU where we need every advantage possible. Doing the bare minimum to catch up to facilities that are years old and getting replaced is not the way to do it.
  11. Romeo is better than Edwards. Not sure why he’s getting NPOY votes already. He’s good, but not THAT good. It will show this year
  12. Would be huge to get Ramsey. His recruitment seems pretty open so I’m cautiously optimistic we can do it
  13. Yeah, count me in the camp that thinks it’s ridiculous to take the names off. If we had any tradition whatsoever, sure, I guess it would make a tiny bit more sense. Doing it now is super cringy IMO. Looks bad
  14. I don’t really know. I think he’ll be a good player as an upperclassmen, but we need to shoot higher if we want to reach final fours and win a championship. I like a lot of players over him at the same position.
  15. Yeah, just not a fan of Ramsey. His arm strength will always hold him back. We won’t beat the Michigan’s or Penn State’s of the world with him starting. Allen even said that Penix was the best of the 3, just more inconsistent. Well, to get more consistent, you let him learn in game.
  16. It baffles me how we are in all these top 5 and 10 situations, but the only guard we can currently get a visit from is Franklin.
  17. It’s looking like we may get a visit from him, but schools like UNC, Florida, and Tennessee are ahead of us.
  18. 2012 here. Was still happening. Had some other freshmen get reassigned to my floor at McNutt
  19. Just another aspect to add here. Is everyone comfortable with Green and Al being 2 of our top 3 guards moving forward? I can’t really say that I am. I expect them to improve and I know Archie will get as much as he can out of them, but will they become what we think they can. Some guys just hit that ceiling or don’t reach what they can be for one reason or another. We have to consider this possibility, as well as other guards in the conference improving. In my opinion, we need elite guards to get to the final four and win it all. That’s what concerns me with our guard recruiting and missing on elite players.
  20. I’m going to preface this with I love Archie’s recruiting so far and I think he has a great way of going about it. He brought in an amazing 2018 class and I have no doubt he’ll do the same with the 2019 class. HOWEVER, I agree with gradman to an extent. It’s great to reach the top 3 or 5 of a recruit’s list, but we need to land someone sooner or later. It feels like some are taking a Purdue fans mentality because that happens to them quite a bit. I acknowledge that there are visits coming up, but it’s reasonable to think that we aren’t leaders for any of our guard prospects right now. It’s strange to me because I would think most of these guys would want to visit a program like ours. Romeo is gone next year and that should open up ample playing time for the more elite prospects, but most of them aren’t even willing to visit us. Snow has said something similar in that it’s reasonable to be concerned about our guard prospects at this point in time. Things can definitely change, it’s just strange to me that we aren’t making headway with the more elite guards. I’m confident in Archie and the staff, but also concerned to some degree.
  21. Really want him. Uconn is the only school that scares me here
