Yeah, you did a pretty good job of bashing people on this board this time as well - “Emotionally fragile” “embarrassing”. Not sure why you need to talk about people on this board that way. I haven’t seen anyone acting that way. it’s fair to point out what coach did last year and what other coaches did last year but the need to throw in jabs is strange. it’s entirely fair to point out how slow things are moving along. Whether you believe this is intentional and a part of a plan or not intentional and cause for concern is why we’re here - to discuss

Who are the college basketball teams in this scenario? Michigan, Louisville, Creighton?

That’s right. Everything could be A Ok and all a part of some ingenious plan but there are signs already that things are not going as planned. The fact that we don’t have a complete staff out recruiting and bringing their players here is a real head scratcher and also a head scratcher nobody followed DeVries here that wasn’t his son. That is one of the most important reasons to hire a P5 coach is to have them bring some of that talent with them and that didn’t really happen.

And none of the staff he picked are coming with him here and none of those recruits sans his son wanted to come with him here and that team didn’t make the tourney so what is your point other than to bash people on this board?

It’s hard to commit to a school when you don’t know who the staff is. Maybe that will get taken care of soon?

He wasn’t on my tier 1, 2 or 3 but he is who we got and will root like hell for him to succeed. it’s about me but not just me, I have two boys that I want to raise loving IU basketball and they are at the same age I was when i got hooked. i would love to have the same connection and passion with them that I have/had with my grandparents and parents. 21-12 first season and limp into the tournament

Are we holding open try-outs at the SRSC yet?

If we can find an under-appreciated player like tonje who we don’t have to pay 7 figures to that would be nice

We will likely end up with a top 10 portal class if for no other reason than we will have 12 kids. It’s quality+volume at play

It’s not his job to do it, but I imagine he could be a great recruiter. If I’m him I’m all in on that - I would be texting and calling all my friends and guys I’ve played with at camps etc that could help.

Respectfully some of these dudes will make 6 figures and sit at the end of some benches

That would mean they resigned from their current jobs and their school isn’t releasing that or making public which is odd. You can’t be employed by WVU for example and recruit for Indiana. what is the advantage of waiting here?

That would be incredibly stupid.

He could be a valuable piece to our puzzle if used correctly. He can defend when he wants to and can distribute. I think he proved he is not a shooter/scorer at this level. If he shoots when open vs forcing things he is valuable.

Love the assists but shoots 63% from the free throw line. Can’t understand how guards shoot that low

I appreciate her weighing in, people repeat themselves here all the time, especially over the last 2 months. Sharing info on the behind the scenes happenings regarding Stevens is what this thread is for and discussing whether he indeed backed out on Sunday or just said no for the final time. I can also corroborate that he was never a yes - 8bucks knows where that confirmation came from and I think he would agree that person would know.

Can’t argue with a lot of what he says and he seems to be tapped in to what’s going on. the only reason people would run him off is because he is connected to Dolson’s burner and Tyme but who cares. Seems level headed and POSITIVE
