  1. Maybe this guy will help IU one way or another.
  2. I read the last word in the above sentence two different ways. On the third time I think I got it. (6) Peter Frampton Do You Feel Like We Do Midnight Special 1975 FULL - YouTube
  3. Every game, I envision them getting run over by a guard on a bike. It's a vicious cycle.
  4. Dolson says: If you want it, here it is, come and get it Mmh, make your mind up fast If you want it, any time, I can give it But you'd better hurry 'cause it may not last Did I hear you say that there must be a catch? Will you walk away from this school and this money? If you want it, here it is, come and get it But you'd better hurry 'cause it's goin' fast (6) NEW * Come And Get It - Badfinger {Stereo} - YouTube
  5. This Friday, Indiana (5-1) begins the journey into the Big Ten Conference season by hosting Maryland (3-3). Maryland has lost to Villanova, Davidson, and UAB. They play Rider at home Tuesday night. Last Saturday, Maryland won against South Alabama 68-55. They struggled from the 3-point line for the whole game in their worst showing from there this season. In the second half they went inside. Only four Maryland players scored. These guys scored...Reese, Scott, Young and Geronimo. Maryland overcomes slow start to defeat South Alabama - Testudo Times Do not ask why Pomeroy has Maryland at 57 and IU at 75. (Spoiler alert: Could be Coach Woodson's brute force platoon substitutions for long-term seasoning. That stops any padding of scores and may affect Pomeroy standings this early in the season. Pomeroy does not mean much until later in the season.) Thinking about Xavier's injury. And Reneau's back. And Ware's performance in the Big Ten. And hoping that Cupps grows lots taller in the next few days. Did you notice that Galloway played the most minutes and scored 4? And Mac played 31 minutes and scored 18!
  6. Our 2nd platoon is not swarming for rebounds. Not moving on offense. Ugh.
  7. Focus on rebounding is better. Liked getting the ball in early to have Reneau score in the lane. Looking good.
  8. After IU and working for a while, went to UW Madison for Engineering. Season ticket to hockey with my better half was a riot!
  9. Indiana does not have a varsity hockey team. Only 8 Big Ten universities do.
  10. Hoosier fans are going to enjoy this game. IU basketball looked better against Louisville. Things are starting to gel. Woody really set this up with a 2-3 zone down the stretch. And overall, the defense did look good for longer stretches of time. Rebounding improved. We hit free throws. We figured out how to get Reneau some space underneath. Now if Galloway clicks and we hit some 3's...stop the dribble penetration...
  11. Those above me in scoring obviously threw IU under the bus. Shame, shame. Those below me are really good fans that know nothing. Zippo. Sad, really. Thanks to all that ran this site and this game. I so very tired of having to predict IU wins games that they should have won and didn't. I blame the funny shaped ball. And how the game is set up on this site. I want a recount. Yeah. And we need a fund to better pay the referees like those other teams do. And there needs to be a tangible incentive to winning this. Like a free back row seat in the end zone in a non-conference game. Or just outside of the fence in a you pick game. May next year's football season have lots more wins and a bowl. And a win to take back the bucket. And less penalties. And a new HC that brings a winning record/culture/attitude/staff/team/etc.
  12. Weird. I just did it on FB. I do terribly dislike X and any use of it.
  13. It is my understanding that negotiated settlements, in lieu of large buyouts, may be commonplace among head coaches in D1 NCAA universities. You ask why? Well, a lot depends on the specific conditions of the coach's contract with the university. Such as, are there performance criteria? Undoubtedly. Do they say what conditions are causes for termination? Wins? Student grades? Cheating? Communications with administration/HR/NCAA? How did the administration document the coach's performance glitches over time with respect to these contract conditions? There may be reasons for termination besides lack of wins. It is my understanding that it is not unusual for buyouts to have reductions for future salaries as a condition in in their original hiring contracts. Not just in a negotiated settlement afterwards. Also, it may be advantageous to the coach to not dig in heels relative to demanding payment year-to-year per the original buyout. Getting fired might just make him less attractive to his next employer(s). There may be other intangible reasons for a coach to not want FIRED as a label for life. Watch what happens. Does the university just outright and immediately say HC xxx is fired? They may sit with him and/or his representative and discuss the pros and cons of a firing and the buyout and a negotiated settlement...to both sides. And why would other posters on this site be thinking that a coach would be open to a negotiated settlement in lieu of a buyout? Stuhoo may not have been born yesterday.
  14. Stuhoo is saying negotiate. That is the same as what your posted..a settlement. At least that is what it means to me. Read with the intent to understand...not only with the intent just to respond. May consider turning it down a notch.
  15. Wait! Something's happening! A decision? There's crimson smoke over the football stadium. What can it mean? Tom Allen is history? A new HC decision? Black helicopters? Drones? What's the buzz? Uh...It's coming from Brisco or McNutt. Or off campus housing. Maybe someone is burning the display case that very occasionally held the bucket. Or it could be some sort of recreational activity that presently competes favorably with IU football. Don't worry. Be happy. IU soccer competes in the NCAAT today (Sunday) at 1. And men's basketball later today! Far out!

  17. Shocked! Not Shocked!
  18. Game plan is working! Bye Tom.
  19. Beans have worked.
  20. Yeah, let's go conservative.
  21. Tonight, at midnight. This game will still be tied.
  22. Well, now I really am going outside to mow the lawn. Trust me.
  23. Ugh. Block that kick!
