Spoiler alert: -
Yes, Reneau is in Washington. Washington is playing better. But so is IU. Washington has lost many games because they had nothing for a while. They do not defend the 3. Can IU hit the 3 today? Inside, it will depend on which center gets 2 fouls first. And will Miles Rice play with his head down driving into trouble? Will Galloway turn over the ball? Will Mgbako have a good game?

Game Day! Get excited.... Washington Huskies? Coach Danny Sprinkle's first year with the team is being questioned: "...18th out of 18 with four games to go? Yes, there have been a couple of injuries to UW’s post players. Chris Conway, the transfer from Oakland (Mich.), has not suited up all season. Franck Kepnang, who is perpetually sidelined, missed 17 games in a row before returning Jan. 24. But the season was never going to come down to that pair’s health. This Husky team just never came together. Some might point to the brutal schedule they faced in the early weeks of conference play. Fair. Except that doesn’t excuse some of the drubbings they experienced. Michigan State beat them by 34. Michigan trounced them by 16 the next game. And though the Huskies led Purdue by eight at halftime, they were outscored by 19 in the final 20 minutes. So have there been any signs of potential? Sure. Topping Maryland, the 16th-ranked team in the country, made it seem as though UW could hang with some of the nation’s top teams. This wasn’t the Huskies getting hot from outside and making a bevy of uncharacteristic shots — this was them simply outplaying the Terps. " Here’s upside of disappointing first year for Washington Husky men under Danny Sprinkle | The Seattle Times From a fan's comment on the above-linked article: "...they've been improving. they haven't been able to convert that into very many wins yet, but with the offense running through Zoom and Osobor, they have at least looked functional and competitive." Washington, a PAC 12 football-oriented program is bound to have the men's basketball team have some growing pains after they joined the tough B1G conference. They are just about completing a $60 million upgrade of basketball facilities. And they popped for $2 million, I understand, for a PG, and he is out there right now. (Not worth it, some say.) The keys to this game: A good start would help; Ballo vs Franck Kepnang 6'11" who gets 2 fouls first; 3-point efficiency; turnovers; effort on both sides of the game; Reneau. Kepnang is a big, broad-shouldered center who is an outstanding shot blocker and interior defender. He's naturally strong and hold his ground well and he's explosive off the floor, rising way above the rim. He's an intimidator and enforcer inside. He missed a bunch of games with knee surgery this season...but he is back. We shall see.

We've heard what you said. I don't believe most of what is posted here or anywhere without independent verification. And I don't believe the Brad Stevens' to IU rumors until he signs. It is just talk so far. Until someone posts something that is verifiable. And McCollum has won and looks good. Except that he hasn't beaten a team yet that is in the top 50. Or run a big program. Or really recruited the big time. Or worked with NIL. And don't go crazy because other people don't believe what they can't see or experience themselves. If you are like that, then you are letting other people control you. There's way too much of that stuff going around today in the media and politics. -

Well, I am glad that Archie Miller is not coaching at IU. I was a big fan of his in Dayton. Was surprised when he was offered the IU job. Archie was not on my short list. I wondered if he would make it at IU. But it was tainted from the start. And I appreciate Josh's posts and opinions. But the idea that Archie Miller was 'over his head even at Daytin (sic)' is in error. It was not a chaotic system at Dayton. His teams played like teams. They defended and went after the loose balls. They got lots of assists. And he did not have just one team get hot at the right time of the year. Not surprised, in a way, that Josh holds this opinion. But Josh is right that Archie Miller never should have been given the offer. Hindsight does support the idea that Miller should not have accepted the job. It has been posted that Josh did not like the hire. Seems, that may have blocked his objectivity as to what Archie accomplished at Dayton. Here is his history in Dayton. Brian Gregory, before him, was failing. Left the cupboard bare. And one year, Archie had only 6 scholarship players because of injuries, and getting rid of some players. Miller's accomplishments at Dayton are second only to Don Donoher's 8 NCAAT appearances in 25 years. Archie had 4 in six years. Who says that Dolson and the coach-in-waiting are not discussing things...like schedule, money, NIL, money, contract length, money, and money? -

Big Archie fan while he was in Dayton. He was not in my short list to be hired by IU. I was shocked. Wondered if he could make it in the pressure cooker of IU. Could he recruit? He did motivate his team in Dayton to play like a team. The sum was greater than the parts. He did not get the support at IU from the administration that Coach Woody got. Archie could not get his arms around the individuals that he got stuck with at IU. Some of the players did not want to work hard on defense. They did not get assists. The point guards could not get the ball into play. No one moved. The administration did not help. Archie had to go. For whatever reason. It was totally phukd. Some of the same problems are experienced since Woody got here. But Woody had TJD. But now some of the team does not want to be here or work. Woody has refused to get that corrected until just a few later games in the 2nd half. Can't get some bigs clogging up the inside at the detriment of a fluid offense and great defense. PS. No I'm not just from Dayton. I graduated from IU when we went undefeated. My whole immediate family loves IU. Am from Evansville Bosse. But I have been around. After going to IU/Business...also went to Wisconsin...still cheering for IU at each game.

Way back when, we helped my inlaws move. My MIL had dementia and depression. Terrible stuff. Well, she was stressed. Didn't like the new place. Couldn't find things because we were not finished unpacking. She accused me of stealing her wire hangers. How the heck did she figure that I had coveted those forever? So take your Mom's hangers and hide them. Swap those for the information you seek. Good luck. -
It wasn't Archie's fault at IU. Some of the players had overinflated balls.
