I would say that’s fair but let’s look at the kid from Missouri we’re recruiting as example. Just watched a couple videos and he appears Grayson Mullins 2.0. So if he accepts you have a freshman coming in that can use seasoning and bulk to probably contribute year 2 or you just go recruit the actual Grayson Mullins in year 2 with NIL and a year Hurley paid to develop. Unless they are true difference makers or hometown or legacy kids, I wouldn’t be handing out scholarship offers to < the very top players.

In today’s age of NIL and older players being more developed and dominant; I’m not sure I understand much focus being on high school athletes unless they are game changers or home grown products. Chances are good these younger players still need to develop just in time to leave you for more NIL. Whereas you can cherry pick these developed players from mid majors and sprinkle in pros. I’m of the mindset of Papa Pitino where he’s recruiting few high schoolers and focusing on mature and developed seasoned players.

See if they can give him another year. Everybody else gets one or two.

Should have went to the pros like Woody. Cut your teeth there for a few years like Sampson and go back to a college head job. Woody would give him a reference.

I like Goode and hope he gets another year. Leal…don’t feel the same and don’t want anymore run it back bs. Goode needs to work on his handle and penetration game along with defense and Leal needs to work on selling Btown real estate.

Bailey highlights remind me of the big guys for Florida in as much they actually control the ball a lot. They do a lot of dribble penetration mostly in the 3 arc but are always looking to pass or facilitate. Neither Ballo nor Malik could penetrate, pass or shoot effectively. Give me a couple more of Bailey and a big banger 6’8” 25 year old 7th year and combine with old and older point guards with a few freshmen and call it a day.

Coach Devries, Go get a Cardwell (Auburn) player haven’t had one since Darryl Thomas 86 or D Thomas (Sampson recruit and player). Go get a bully point guard who plays defense, gets us into sets, and is a pass first point. Add more Hoosiers to the roster.
