  1. No it doesn’t, and no one gets in the way. It has enough equipment for multiple teams to use it at once, and football can kick them out if they choose to. It’s their weight room. I don’t think football ever shares weight room time though as it is, so this is literally an issue that doesn’t exist.
  2. Why would that hurt us? It’s literally large enough to have the entire football team in there on one side, and multiple other sports on the other side, using the same equipment. There is a ridiculous amount of equipment in there. It’s a moot point anyway, because football always gets first dibs. If they decide to schedule a random lift, and they want other sports to leave, the other sports have to leave. And I know for a fact that they tell this to recruits, because a football recruit on a visit snapchatted this information out while on a tour. The basketball teams have their own weight room/rehab facilities, but even they use facilities at MS too. Everything is centrally located there, with the academic center and other facilities. Having a giant weight room is not hurting us in recruiting. Football can use it whenever they want. If they don’t want to share it, they don’t have to. They don’t really ever have to share it, actually. Everything is scheduled around when they use it. Smart planning/allocation of resources is not a negative.
  3. It isn’t falling apart, but this has needed to be addressed for a while. If you’re going to compete at an elite level, act like it. Also, a lot of it is going to be redoing the restroom/showers, and carpeting and the ceiling…it’s just old.
  4. Decades of neglect in every sport (facilities wise) = a LOOOOOOOOT of catch-up. Glad it’s happening.
  5. Wilkinson Hall webcam: http://webtech.webhost.iu.edu/build/wilkinson/popup.html
  6. Yep that certainly stands out!
  7. ^^^ I hate the random order that pics get uploaded on here. ^^^
  8. Someone on another board who has seen the renderings says it will be top of the line. It will look like what Kansas, Michigan State, and Kentucky have (our Cook Hall locker rooms already look like Duke’s). I know IU is really spending some money on football to make our new locker room/lounge look more like an NFL type layout (see below), so I imagine we’re putting some good money into the basketball revamp as well. (I used to be able to find plans for these projects with more ease, but IU requires a password now for some of their plan room).
  9. Here is what the Cook Hall locker rooms look like for both the men and women. I assume the AH project will look similar, with even newer touches...
  10. Assembly Hall locker room to be renovated: http://distribution.easternengineering.com/Job_Details/20170970 TOC.pdf No renderings or anything, but confirms that it is being done. The Cook Hall locker room is already very nice, so this will only add to that. Glad it’s happening. The women have a nice locker room in Cook Hall as well, and although I can’t confirm it, recent pictures seem to indicate that they have started improving their locker room in Assembly Hall as well (just paint and minor touches...I have no idea if they’re going to overhaul it like the men’s). On a related note, football is also getting a brand new/expanded locker room and players lounge.
  11. One tiny nugget from this is that we are going to be redoing the team meeting rooms in the north end zone as part of the next project (new locker room/players lounge).
  12. I really want to sweep Purdue this weekend. And then beat them again in that single midweek game later. Sweep the leg. No mercy.
  13. Ramsey and Penix got every rep on Saturday: http://iuhoosiers.com/news/2018/3/31/football-hoosiers-scrimmage-inside-memorial-stadium.aspx
  14. You can really see the difference in the bare concrete and what they have started staining/painting to match the existing stadium. You can get a decent look at the concourse as well...
  15. Well I certainly hope she rests easy now that she’s a champion...
  16. Introducing, for the final time...
  17. That, and winning this title would be a big boost to show progress. UConn is going to win the NCAA tournament every year anyway.
