    Another #1 seed (Towson) about to go down in its conference tourney, so another bid stealer. I saw IU listed as First Four In last night so is it safe to assume IU needs a strong showing in the B1G tournament to be safely in the field?

    I could be mistaken, but I saw that McCollum's salary is currently $275,000\year. Wouldn't it be tough to pass on a $3.5 million\year (purely guessing) offer and a substantial NIL budget?

    I've had a difficult time too believing the midseason change was done purely based on optics, but I am dense and wrong a lot. :-)

    The two have even tried similar routes; handing the keys over to an unqualified assistant. Trying the former star player. Then the latest coaching hot name. But I 100% agree with you on these points highlighted.

    I know it's been said before in the past, but I'll bring it up again. The IUBB and Nebraska football mirror each other with the uphill battle to return to prominence. I'm really starting to temper my expectations at this point.

    I think Beard would instill a toughness factor in an IU squad that hasn’t been seen in a long time. It’s a quality that is almost impossible to measure or quantify, but it’s certainly observable.

    Rhetorical question here but after 25 years of mediocrity, can IU afford to gamble? Or is a gamble all that’s left at this point of the search?
