This is most likely true being close to the situation. IU got Trent and it wasn’t because Woodson. I firmly believe if Woodson leaves Trent still comes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve never heard them talk about Howard but know they love Walsh. Can also add that Trent just really wanted to play for Indiana so in the end it may not matter who stays or goes after or during this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yea not excited about the sub patterns as well. First game of the year play your top 8 until you’re up 25+. No rhythm and those guys need reps together. Cupps and hatton do not need to be playing minutes right now unless we are up big. Just mind boggling. Maybe Woodson will adjust and fix it for the rest of the game. (2025)- Trent Sisley to INDIANA

I always felt like he would end up a Hoosier but talked with both mom and dad last week and they gave zero indication he would be a Hoosier. This one was tight lipped for sure. Glad to have him on board. Not going to lie pretty cool to have a kid I’ve worked out and coached many time being a Hoosier Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Trent switching AAU teams had nothing to do with haralson and not liking him. I do not believe whether IU gets haralson or doesn’t has any affect on whether they get Trent or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
(2025)- Trent Sisley to INDIANA
Dillion replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
It’s been contemplated by him since entering high school. It almost came to fruition last year but he ultimately chose to stay at HH. Good for him. He’s not looking for other offers this is purely for developmental purposes. Honestly if kids have dreams of playing at the highest level this is the way to go. No offense to high school coaches, I use to be one, but let’s face it these are basketball factories with mega basketball benefits an Indiana high school just doesn’t offer. Even better now that some of these kids make life changing money for 4 years even if they don’t make it to the next level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I second this. I’ve heard first hand how well he has done with Trent and how much his family loves Walsh. I seriously doubt Walsh is the issue with any recruit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Hatton is a good kid but plz just no. This is not the type of backup big we want if he is going to need to play any minutes at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Put me in the group that doesn’t have much faith newton will be feasible. Wasn’t a high level recruit (top 30) and hasn’t played in awhile with major injuries. I hope I’m wrong but wouldn’t be counting on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
NCAA MBB Coaching Carousel

Yea but he also left that program. You could be right but haven’t heard any of that from them. Granted we haven’t talked about where Trent would play much anytime I’ve talked to them. Louisville would make sense being as it’s an hour drive and super easy from their house but atm I just don’t see it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Why would you think that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Yes but how many of those recruits have chosen to play for IU or has committed to IU? If they love it so much then why do we only have one class of 24 signed and losing interest daily with the 25 class? Woodson also said he wanted to get to a 4 out 1 in offense obviously that wasn’t true. People say stuff all the time usually actions speak louder than words. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This isn’t true necessarily from a system standpoint. I happen to know one family being recruited by indiana who is not a fan of the system and offense being ran. To think kids nowadays like playing in this slow pace offense with the lack of 3 point shooting I think is being naive because that is not the landscape of the game anymore. You really just have to watch warm ups at any level to get this picture. It’s a race to the 3 point line to shoot, shoot, and shoot more 3’s. Also why the big ten struggles getting the top talent each year because the brand of big ten ball isn’t appealing and isn’t really successful in the tournament either. Owen’s was down to see Trent the other day. I do know that the Sisley family are huge fans of Walsh as well and say he has done a good job with Trent recruitment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not true at least for Sisley anyways. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think it could be any of those as long as it’s the head coach and not the assistant most of the time. Especially when the head coach of the other schools recruiting him are doing most of the legwork. This family loves IU and they love Walsh he has done a fantastic job but Walsh isn’t the head coach. He isn’t coming to play for Walsh just like he wouldn’t go to Purdue or Notre Dame to play for the assistant coach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not going to say much more out of respect of the family and not wanting to give away things I’ve been told because I respect their trust but not the case in this instance is all I’ll say. This also doesn’t mean that he won’t end up at IU I have no clue and I don’t think this recruit has a clue yet either or he would be committed somewhere already. It’s also not me advocating for or against Woodson just addressing the worries that have been brought up about recruiting and I know some of those worries are true and resonate with recruit’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not the case with this family as his father is very much a huge part of his life. But when Izzo and Painter are the lead recruiter in your recruitment and they are constantly reaching out to you but Walsh is the only guy really contacting you or coming to see you it makes an impression. Doesn’t really have much to do with the need “shown love” as this kid isn’t that type of kid but more to do with why play for a coach that doesn’t seem too interested in you when others schools and coaches seem to want you more and you do like those schools as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
I also know a family well that isn’t too happy with Woodys lack of involvement like the other head coaches are that are recruiting him. It’s their main concern right now and they want to be shown love by the head coach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had dinner with his dad last night. No clear cut leader at this point if you want an honest answer. Really taking his time and enjoying the visits and what not. Will probably look to narrow the list soon to about 4 and 5 and basically the ones Chris mentioned will be the cut if no one else new jumps in soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
