I imagine Illinois will have another monstrous crowd for this game. They view us as their main rival and always pack the house. Last year they had the biggest crowd in their program's history when we went there. 

Don't the Big Ten coaches vote on coach of the year? Crean didn't get it either year we had Zeller. In 2012, Izzo won it because his team shared the title. In 2013, Bo won it because his team "exceeded expectations." Crean isn't a very popular guy in this league; just ask Matta, Miles or Painter. If Wisconsin finishes in the top 5, Gard will probably win it. 

    Is there any official article/document stating it doesn't count? I would love to have that ammunition for future arguments with Purdue fans.      1996 was the year. They won the Big Ten, finished 26-6 and forfeited 19 wins because a freshman was given a $4,000 bank loan by one of their assistants while they recruited him. IU split with them that year, and the IU basketball database acknowledges its record as being correct (Purdue leads the series 114-90 after last night, even though everywhere else it says 115-89).      I just haven't seen anything saying they actually gave back wins from that season. 

WTF? It's 20-19 after the first quarter, I check back in with 2 minutes to go in the first half and we're down 41-22? 

Off topic: what's getting into other Big Ten teams today? MSU leads Minnesota 110-103 with under a minute left, and OSU is leading Illinois 67-40 at halftime! 

  We've only reached the final game once (2001). In that game, we lost to Iowa, who remains the lowest seed to ever win it and is the only team to win four games in four days to do so. 

  Two things Purdue fans always cling to when discussing IU:   1) all time series lead   2) more Big Ten titles     I doubt we'll ever catch them in the series, but it would be pretty funny if we won a share of the Big Ten this year and tied them in that category.
