Sh*t's gonna get very real for our administration in 10 days when Purdue comes to town and we hear very audible "Boiler Up" chants during the game.

I haven't paid much attention to this, but does DeVries ever work the officials? Like, really go after them and intimidate them? Having a coach who does that can completely flip a game where things aren't going well. Washington had a 7-1 foul advantage at one point in the second half. Nebraska players packed enough suitcases to fill an airplane last weekend, no whistles. Iowa had a dude travel twice on the same play today, nothing. Wilkerson guarding a guy who trips on a nail, foul. Assembly Hall used to be worth about 10 points because our crowd could influence how a game was officiated. Today, I'd say it's near zero, maybe even a net negative. Nobody dreads coming here anymore.

Remember last March, when there was chatter that we were getting McCollum and some of you lost your minds over it? Good times.

Really curious what the actual attendance at our remaining home games will be. The numbers that get posted are paid attendance, not actual. If I had tickets, I'd sell them and not think twice.

If we started finishing in the top 4 of the conference like Bo Ryan did countless times you'd change your mind.

They look like they're way, way better coached than us. I'd take that in a heartbeat.

Supposedly he reached out to McCollum first and McCollum was iffy. Then he reached out to DeVries and got an immediate yes. Maybe wouldn't have been a bad idea to give McCollum some time.

Probably not a good time to mention Purdue beat this Washington team a few days ago? We are so bad.

I know some older fans who said they didn't even know who would be on the roster until the team calendar was published in October.

Highly under-appreciated IU team, IMO. Probably wasn't a serious threat to win it all, but had a ton of fun moments and could score with the best of them. It kind of irritates me when people gloss over that season with comments like "wE HaVEn't BeEn GooD sIncE 2013!!!"

Don't forget that we're older than some NFL teams and have 7th, 8th and 9th year seniors beating up on a bunch of poor kids.

At least they got to see multiple national titles. My generation has seen nothing but one coaching crash-out after another.

Where did anyone say that? You've gone out of your way to bash her any chance you get. You were complaining about her after a game where she scored 20 points. You even criticized her high school team and said she padded stats and beat up on a bunch of nobodies even though her high school played one of the hardest schedules in the state last season. We're all frustrated with where the program is right now, but your constant attacks on a freshman are just bizarre.

This is my biggest worry. Players are leaving good teams these days. Many coaches have to re-recruit their entire roster in the spring now. It's why I'm skeptical when I see people saying we'll be really good in 2 years. We have no idea who will be here next year, let alone 2 years. We'll have to do a lot better in the portal this time around, because I could easily see current players leaving. A college basketball team shouldn't have the lengthy scoring droughts we do unless something is seriously broken.

5 second call on the inbounds play right out of a timeout. Just completely lost.

I went to Ball State and spent 4 years watching the university president make all the hires in the major sports. The athletic director was just a puppet.
