Ouch! Terrible injury... hope his recovery goes well.

Underwood will be solid for Illinois if he can recruit big names there. BUT he has also shown he's willing to leave at the drop of a hat.

UNLV either has terrible luck with highly rated recruits or is not very good at player development. Dwayne Morgan was a 5 star. They also didn't get much from Goodluck Okonoboh. Rashad Vaughn was in that same class and was one-and-done though.

(2018) PG Robert Phinisee to Cincinnati

Not very similar according to Bozich on POTB. Yogi was a scoring PG compared to Phinisee as a pass-first, floor general type. Edit: Rob also doesn't appear to be as explosive off the dribble as Yogi was. Or at least not yet anyway. -

I don't know if Forrester is really a "reach" at the ~150 composite ranking. At least not in the sense of Gelon/Priller/April. He would be a solid get and a contributor for 3+ years. That being said, I echo the concerns that we need that spot open for more elite talent in 2019 and his position is already somewhat crowded for 2018. -

Any idea what our chances are with Brown? I haven't seen anything about him on the board recently. -

Uninformed optimism presented as fact usually. -
Crean really f'd this one up. In the article, Gelon's high school coach says he has plenty of D1 options. So where were they? He's not transferring to a high major, a mid major, or any major. He's going to some godforsaken State Fair community college. That tells you all you need to know. Gelon had one year at a basketball mecca. I'm not saying he shouldn't be upset but he had a chance to prove he belonged and didn't get it done. Plenty of unranked guys end up on Big Ten rosters and earn playing time. Grant didn't. Time to grow up and move on.

News over the summer has been that Cujo looks much improved. We will find out in game action soon enough though. -

Put it on the forum! I'll take a PM if you can't do that. -
This has been a pet peeve of mine and maybe others will say I'm crazy. I really don't like posts that include just a link with zero context.

I was scratching my head but it was unrelated to BPA. I might just need a dandruff shampoo. -

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
ElectricBoogaloo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I default to the position that it doesn't make sense for a guy of his caliber to commit in the fall. A player like Romeo will only have 1 shot at winning an NCAA championship. If you were in the same position, you'd want to know what the team looks like before deciding. -

I know you are the eternal optimist but I see no reason why he wouldn't wait as long as possible. See what the rosters will look like in 2018 and decide. However long he waits, there will be a spot open for him. -

Garry Harris was a casualty of the over sign, wasn't he? I thought at the time everyone believed he would be a Hoosier if there was a scholarship open.
