  1. Rob P... Archie said it earlier this year. He is a stud.
  2. As of this writing, he has 91 posts - ALL OF THEM are in this one thread. They involve a sophomore high school player who, at this point, may top out as a mid major talent. Indiana may never scout him, much less offer. On another forum he has 107 posts - ALL OF THEM again in the Luke Brown thread. He has stated in the past he wants to be Luke Brown's dad and, separately, that he wants to be Luke Brown. He passes this off as a joke here. Judge for yourself. Mods - I'm sorry in advance for linking to another forum: http://www.hoosiersportsnation.com/index.php?/topic/944-luke-brown-the-next-damon-bailey/&do=findComment&comment=114068 http://www.hoosiersportsnation.com/index.php?/topic/944-luke-brown-the-next-damon-bailey/&do=findComment&comment=114284 This is deeply, DEEPLY weird and uncomfortable. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone here. A person this obsessed with a kid and who has made the statements above, causes alarm bells to go off in my head. This is far from a simple "local point of view." If everyone STILL thinks I'm overreacting, I will close up shop on this topic and ignore the thread.
  3. True - some other programs were much better about cutting bait early when they knew a guy wasn't right. The IU administration has been dysfunctional in their hiring/firing decisions.
  4. Can't argue with the article too much other than the "veteran leadership" of Green and Smith next year. What else is different about that list of blue bloods? Consistent, high level coaching in the time frame they use: Duke: Coach K UNC: Roy Kansas: Self Kentucky: Cal for most of it UCLA: Howland for most of it. I bet UCLA fans are wondering why they ran Howland off after the recent circus. If Archie is the guy we all think/hope he is, those stats will look very different in the next 10-15 year period.
  5. “Sharing his thoughts” is the most generous description I can imagine for this guy. Some people actually read these threads for recruiting news. We should lock this entire thread until summer.
  6. Somebody pack Green a hobo sack lunch on the end of a stick and send him packing.
  7. Yeah, that was ugly. The death lineup always leads to an opponent run.
  8. Every single play after a timeout looks like crap. We’re they drawn up like crap or executed like crap? I’m guessing both.
  9. The obsessive posting all day every day is getting old. As others have said, he will have his chance to prove himself this summer. Playing against the Helen Keller Academy of Arts every week does not make him the next Kyle Guy. The kid transferred schools so he could play on easy mode and shoot for a record. I want competitors at Indiana, not guys who need to lower the competition level in order to shine.
  10. What humor is in your posts? Your entire post history is pumping up a 16 year old kid in your town and sprinkling in comments that make me wonder when the restraining order is coming.
  11. So what, exactly, is your connection to Brown? You’ve been spamming two different forums for the better part of a month now with nothing but Luke Brown updates. A player who, at this point, projects to be a mid major talent. I never see you post in any other topics other than the Luke Brown threads. Your obsession here is very telling. Are you a parent? Close family friend? On another forum you said you wanted to be his dad and then followed up by saying you wanted to be Luke. This is all very odd behavior.
  12. Make your free throws and we win. This bum @$$ team shot like garbage from the line though.
  13. I’m so tired of everyone hitting this circus **** against us.
  14. That’s on the players. Coaches only get so much time with the players during the week. They need to work on their free throws outside of the official practice.
  15. If Hurt wants to score 50-75% of his team's points, I have good news for him. Indiana basketball is looking for someone just like that next year!
  16. Yeah, I don’t have high hopes. The improvement would have to come from coaching and player development. Either way, next year is “prove it” time for this staff.
  17. I can’t stand watching him with the ball in his hands. The most Green play of all time was when he brought the ball up in transition, slowed it down, tried to put on some showtime dribbles, and lost the ball out of bounds. That one play was a great summary of his time at IU so far. I’m done with him. Indiana basketball can do better.
  18. Next year, if the offense is still this lost, I don’t see how he survives to year 4. It has been embarrassingly bad.
  19. The Big Ten has been godawful to watch this year. Too many sub-60 point final scores due to “tough” defense.
  20. Beverly doesn’t want to play tackle basketball in the BIG. This season has had some especially ugly games.
  21. If next season is anything like this one, I don’t see Archie making it past year 3. There better be a plan for some actual “drastic” changes this offseason and a brand new identity to accompany them.
  22. Yeah - so much for “drastic” changes.
