For the sake of evening out the rotation though, I would rather Green start and Newkirk be the first off the bench for the second unit as he would provide the offense on the 2nd unit with Cujo. Green would be a better facilitator for the starting 5 without having to score as he would be on the 2nd unit. My 2 units would be: A Green Rojo Morgan Hartman Davis B Newkirk Cujo Smith McSwain Moore Now don't get me wrong, I would never do a line change like this as a coach, it would be based off who is playing well, fatigue, foul trouble and flow of the game and a gradual substitution.

I'd be surprised if the starting lineup looks like anything other than this: Newkirk Rojo Morgan Hartman Davis Subs with Regular Minutes in order of off the bench (except for foul trouble situations) Green Cujo Moore McSwain Smith Foul Trouble Inserts Durham McRoberts Priller Mop Up Duty Only Gelon Jager Taylor

Jeff Rabjohns @JeffRabjohns 4m4 minutes ago More Jeff Rabjohns Retweeted Brennan Champion For those asking, this is not true. It's just somebody making things up and tweeting them out. Again. Look at his 1st 2 tweets. Jeff Rabjohns added, Brennan Champion @b_champion Follow More Bryant and Blackmon Jr. have both hired agents and will not return to Indiana. This opens up roster spots for Miller. #IUBB @ZachOsterman

Good for Hernandez. What a despicable human being. At least our tax dollars no longer have to fund this mans life. I just wish every person truly guilty of Murder, Sex Abuse/Crimes against children or child abuse (the kind of abuse that is clearly over the line, I.e. broken bones, physical harm, repeated offenders, not accidents etc.) would all just off themselves so we can stop wasting tax dollars for these idiots to live a better life than millions of homeless people and vets in our country. Now back to your regularly scheduled program. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Actually agreeing with you on this point but to further expand on this point: The NBA has the D-League What needs to happen but won't, is something like this: General Rules regarding D League formation. Give a D League Team to each NBA Team Rosters NBA team is allowed 15 spots, 12 or 13 active (whatever current rule is) NBADL team is allowed 15 spots, 15 active for games NBADL cannot exceed 5 NBA contract players (unless due to injury) Organization is allowed 3 injury designations that does not factor in to the 30 organization spots available. Put each of these teams in a thriving market with no NBA team and relatively close geographically. 62 Game Schedule (Play every team outside division 2 times and teams in division 3 times) Take the revenue from the NBADL team and supplement the team with the NBA revenue from the players side of profit since this is primarily for player development and players. Standard NBADL contract salary is $250,000 (excluding rookie contracts) General Draft Rule Changes: Add 3rd round to NBA Draft (Logistically, may need a 4th round as well?) Get rid of the stashing draft rights to overseas players. They either come and play that season, or go back into draft pool for following year and cannot sign with a team without being drafted or failing to be drafted after two drafts. 1st Round Gauranteed NBA Rookie Contract NBADL Rookie Contracts and Player Eligibility (All rookie contracts end with Restricted Free Agent status) Out of High School with High School Diploma Enter Draft If selected in 1st round, NBA teams must sign them to NBA Contract. If selected in 2nd round, may be signed to NBA or NBADL contract. If selected in 3rd round, must sign NBADL contract. (This becomes 4th round if 4th round is neccesary) NBA Contract Normal NBA Rookie Player Rules TNBADL Contract $50,000/yr 3 year deal with team option after each year 1 year mandatory NBADL period before being able to be called up to the NBA roster. College 1 year Experience Not eligible to enter draft. College 2 years Experience Not eligible to enter draft. May be invited to Sophmore Prospects camp (similar to a Combine type event) to get feedback from actual teams/scouts. College 3 years Experience (If player earns degree in 3 years, see #5 below) Can Declare for Draft without an Agent and return or enter draft. If agent hired, cannot return No restrictions on what contract can be signed outside of normal draft contract rules. If signed to NBA contract, normal NBA player. If signed to NBADL contract: $100,000/yr 3 year deal with team option after final year 1 Month mandatory transition period College 4+ years Experience or College Degree (Exclueds 2 year college degrees) Eligible to enter draft No restrictions on what contract can be signed outside of normal draft contract rules. If signed to NBA contract, normal NBA player. If signed to NBADL contract: $250,000/yr 3 year guaranteed deal with player option after final year. No mandatory waiting period to be called up to NBA NBADL/NBA Movement Rules (Similar to Baseball's rules for this, assume baseball rule unless noted below) Call Ups Rookie Contracts - Eligibility and rules listed above. NBADL Regular Contracts - No restriction. Contracts: NBA/NBADL Rookie Contracts - Contract does not change unless waived. NBADL Regular Contract May be offered NBA contract at any time. If remaining on main roster for start of next season, must be signed to NBA contract or sent back to NBADL NBA Regular Contract - No changes to NBA contract. Send Down A player may be sent down for any reason. Max of 3 times per consecutive time with organization, player then must be waived or rookie contract ends. Contracts; NBA/NBADL Rookie Contract - Contract does not change unless waived or not resigned. NBADL Regular Contract - Contract does not change unless signed to NBA Contract, waived or not resigned. NBA Regular Contract Player may remain on NBA contract if sent down under any of these conditions: If due to injury/rehab assignment. Cannot exceed 5 games or 14 days. Player must miss 5 consecutive games to be eligible for rehab assignment If max NBA contracts is not exceeded. Duration cannot exceed into start of next season (unless due to injury) If conditions above are not met, player must be kept on main roster or waived. Sorry so long but it just all started spewing out after starting to type. Thanks for anyone who actually read through it all.

It shouldn't crack you up. All four have the talent to possibly make the NBA one day so why not get feedback. It just goes to show how poorly coached these guys were. Honestly I'm shocked that Morgan didn't declare without an agent too just to get the feedback. There is no harm in declaring without an agent to get feedback. You can't get it or workout for teams unless you declare. It's kind of like a practice interview. Anyone would be silly not to do it even if they don't have much of a shot. I hate using Calapari as an example (just threw up in my mouth a bit) but he stated he that he encourages everyone of his kids to declare without an agent to get feedback. A spin on our returning roster/recruits

I'm just glad that it sounds like this will be the only year we have to worry about the roster "working itself out". Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

If Blackmon comes back, I think everyone who feels this way is going to be shocked that they even thought this before the season began, at the end of the year, or Blackmon won't play very much. I could be wrong but I highly doubt it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

But we don't have to worry about it taking up a scholarship which is the point of this or at least that's how I took it. Otherwise, I would agree with you because I'd have him above Priller and McSwain. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I could be wrong, but I would think headbands would be more of the norm in women's basketball due to the longer hair and women wearing headbands in normal everyday routine. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I would like to see this and I'd like to see NCAA not count red shirts against the scholarship # even if you have to limit it to 2 per year or something like that. But in this scenario other than balancing classes it won't help our scholly situation this coming year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

RE: McCracken and Knight- That's what the "museum" entering cook hall is for. IU is a tradition, no need to change anything other than the coach and we did that already. Leave everything else as is. I do like special occasion jerseys like the Kansas game this past year and our B1G tourney jerseys but not in B1G play. B1G or Non Conference Tourney, ok but not regular conference season or NCAA tourney. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Blackmon wasn't forced by the coach to play defense. I don't think that will be the same this season. Miller will make him play defense or he won't play. It's that simple. Miller doesn't owe him PT like Crean did. I think that is what some are trying to say and if he buys in to playing defense, has a great offensive year and IU does well, he will absolutely have a shot at getting drafted in first round. Probably late first round boarderline 2nd round but he will absolutely have a shot. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
