  1. So how long till we recruit over this kid? Or recruit over a current roster player?
  2. If he is a talented kid who will be here for four years with a chance to grow and develop, it wouldn't be the worst thing to add him.
  3. No excuses has been said every year for the past 3 years.
  4. We've got the recking crew on it! Rawle is ours!
  5. Thank you for this highly logical post. Old Friend, I understand your frustration and your points, and to Stuhoo and those on the other side of the fence I understand your stance as well. At the end of the day, Indiana produces a lot of basketball talent and we are fortunate to have such a privileged access to the recruits, but there are better recruits with equal or greater basketball IQ all around the country. College basketball is a national event, slowly moving to an international event, and recruiting needs to match the growth of the game's scope. To focus too many resources on one area of the recruiting landscape is inefficient. I agree though, recruiting individuals like April and Priller is not something we should do. Scouting of these players was not as diligent as it could have been, and there were equally talented resources available in our backyard. Other than those recruits, I don't have any issues with the talent Crean has acquired in his time here. My only issue is with his ability to capitalize on said talent.
  6. I think my brain just tooted. My b stu
  7. If you do a 360 you end up right back where you started. So at least he has an accurate understanding of what his actions mean.
  8. Whoa. That escalated quickly.
  9. If the NCAA wasn't going to punish UNC harshly, they would not have released a report containing multiple Level 1 infractions including lack of institutional control. They would have softened their NOA if they were going to let UNC get away with this.
  10. Hopefully the delay was indicative of the breadth and depth of the investigation.
  11. It's coming...   http://uncnews.unc.edu/2015/05/22/unc-chapel-hill-announces-receiving-ncaa-notice-of-allegations/   UNC-Chapel Hill announces receiving NCAA notice of allegations   UNC-Chapel Hill announces receiving NCAA notice of allegations   Pledges prompt public release of document after privacy rights review     (Chapel Hill, N.C.—May 22, 2015) – The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill today announced the campus had received a notice of allegations from the NCAA as the next phase in its investigation of academic irregularities and possible bylaw infractions.   In a joint statement, Chancellor Carol L. Folt and Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham said the University had begun reviewing the NCAA’s notice.   “We take these allegations very seriously, and we will carefully evaluate them to respond within the NCAA’s 90-day deadline,” the statement said. “The University will publicly release the NCAA’s notice as soon as possible. The notice is lengthy and must be prepared for public dissemination to ensure we protect privacy rights as required by federal and state law. When that review for redactions is complete, the University will post the notice on the Carolina Commitment website and notify the news media. When we respond to the NCAA’s allegations, we will follow this same release process.   “Consistent with NCAA protocols, the University cannot comment on details of the investigation until it is completed.”
  12. Also interesting that I have not seen more reporting or discussion of this potential system. I'm sure the NCAA already has their legal team filing enough paperwork to try to bury this thing, and ESPN probably isn't reporting anything until they decide how much they could make off this if it were to happen.
  13. And then, let's say this is a response to the demand for an alternative to college, and an option that doesn't involve moving to a new country. Parents, your third option is to now send your 18 year old to Vegas. Yikes. Are the Dealers going to babysit these men? Will there be strict contractual clauses regarding legal trouble? When kids go to school, they are presented with similar risks, but schools have much greater control over the students, and their lack of funds prevent them from being fully independent. My guess, is that this would be the best option for a kid with a handler who will actually manage them off the court.
  14. The main hole I see in this so far is that the market in Las Vegas may not be able to support a "pro" team. They've been lobbying for an NBA team for quite some time.
  15. Wow. This seems like a legitimate option for high school kids wanting to skip college. Pretty brilliant, actually.
  16. Sounds like a typical SEC team
  17. Wins at Mizzou and against Penn State. These are huge wins compared to the past 10 or so years.
  18. Higher profile wins, more consistent recruiting, and personnel on defense that have experience and talent. If over the next two years we do not see results in the win column, then we can talk about CKW's failures.
  19. I think you're going out of your way to discredit the progress that has been made by CKW with this program. I agree, the results are not consistently there, but there have been plenty of positives recently.
  20. The Yankees danced with the devil and now they want to keep their soul. Burn 'em, ARod. Get your money, son!
  21. @insidethehall: Class of 2015 Indiana signee Thomas Bryant is up to No. 22 overall and 5-star status in the 247Composite rankings. #iubb
  22. Yep. That move killed it for me.
