Yep. We played Washington at 9am their time last year. They probably started their gameday routine somewhere around 4-5AM. Pretty ridiculous especially when Ohio State, PSU, and Michigan can "refuse" to do certain things like Friday night games and night games in November.

It'll be tough in the short-term to get these matchups set. For example, Louisville and UK are on each others' schedules through like 2030. I very much enjoyed that short Mizzou series back in the KW days. I think Cig will try to be intentional with his matchups by playing schools in regions that we recruit well. UVA (if there aren't sour grapes from the series cancellation) VT, the research triangles schools etc.

With the ACC announcement of a 9-game conference schedule and a required P4 non-con game, I'd guess that we're days or weeks away from the Big Ten announcing a required P4 non-con as well.

Haven’t been to a game at Illinois in over 10 years so I don’t have that to compare it to, but I’ve been to a lot of games at a lot of different places and for a basketball school we absolutely know how to bring it. That game tonight was miles louder and more energetic than the CFP game. But for the love of Cig/God/whoever you believe in we have got to fix the stadium sound system for 2026. It is abysmal.
