  1.   Since so many of them think they can get Stevens I think it says more about them than it says about Crean.
  2. I'd love to know what Bo Ryan has that results in the officials calling so few fouls on Wisconsin. Pics of Delaney's wife or something?
  3. Anyone watching Arizona/Washington? I think Bill Walton and his broadcast partner just got into a mini fight on air. Also, Walton is broadcasting the game while wearing a boating jersey, which his partner referred to as a unitard. Great TV.
  4.   May have been a rhetorical question, but I think Haas was really interested in engineering. http://www.news-record.com/news/local_news/wake-forest-basketball-loses-commitment-by---center-isaac/article_ca0c6b0e-5066-11e3-be0d-0019bb30f31a.html   I wouldn't imagine that offering biomedical engineering typically helps in basketball recruiting, but the blind squirrel found its nut this time.
  5.   I saw a tweet from Jeff Goodman saying the coach who recruited Frazier has been put on leave as well and the NCAA is "on the case." Could be a really, really bad week for SMU. I hope they circle the wagons and play well the rest of the year, if only to help our resume for the selection committee.
  6.   Honestly, my post about Lee had nothing to do with Hanner. It was a light-hearted recap of his stats so far this year since we pursued him pretty heavily during the offseason, which obviously fits in with the theme of the thread. Heck, I finished the post by openly questioning whether Lee would have added anything this year. I didn't realize I needed to specifically point out Hanner to make sure people knew that the opportunity cost of adding Lee was Hanner's increased minutes.   Then again, it would probably be pretty easy to argue that from a defensive standpoint Lee would be a lot more consistent than Hanner this year anyway. But I digress. I really don't want to derail this thread, which I generally find really interesting to keep up with.
  7. Final non-conference stats for Anthony Lee, otherwise known as our missing piece:   Games: 11 (of 13 they've played) Minutes: 12.2 PPG: 4.1 RPG: 2.9 APG: 0.0 BPG: 0.2 TO: 0.6 Stl: 0.1   On one hand I had long felt he was our missing big man this year. But with the times & numbers he's getting at Ohio State, I wonder how much of an impact he really would have had.
  8. Ha! I got the exact same thing from my in law's! Sent from my KFOT using BtownBanners mobile app
  9.   Yeah there is a part of me that feels a little satisfaction too.  :)
  10.   Every time I see Lee have another 11 minute night it kills me a little that he didn't even make it to his visit to IU.
  11. When I was a freshman I lived on a smoking floor in Teter. That was 15 years ago...God I'm old
  12. Anyone know off the top of their head when the last time is we won the bucket 2 years in a row?
  13.   I like them on the white helmet quite a bit. It's a nice modern update of the more traditional IU helmet.
  14. It was a matter of time before the dam broke.
  15.   The better question is how God awful is Etling that Appleby took his job?
  16.   Lots of little miscues - missed catch by Cobbs, missed the possibility of an INT by Gooch, missed the chance to recover a fumble on the muffed punt. At least we recovered the fumble on the lateral earlier, but we need to catch a couple of these. Pun intended.
  17.   I was just about to say that.    Puck Furdue!
  18. Saw the score of the Butler game. Welcome back to Earth Bulldogs.
  19. Sounds eerily like my holiday today at my in laws' place. As an added bonus not one of them can stand watching basketball. Any chance of watching the game, even though my wife went to Butler, is gone. Sent from my KFOT using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. Hey Wayne, a little while ago you posted a list of former recruiting targets (I think you posted it) so that everyone could follow them this year. I looked through several pages of threads but gave up. Anyway, do you have that list still? I love keeping track of some of our former targets each year. 21.       Wrong classic. The classic we can't play in b/c of the Crossroads Classic is the CBS Sports Classic, which is on the same day. Ohio State is playing North Carolina in that one as our replacement, and the games are being played in Chicago.
  22. It's sad, but I'm in "just hoping to see improvement" mode. It's the point where I've given up hopes of going to a bowl game and am just hoping to see us show something we can build on. I think the defense did that last week and has a great opportunity to look good again this week. The offense though, oh the offense. I really just want Diamont to somehow be effective enough to soften the run defense a touch for Coleman. I'd love a win, of course, but I don't want to get greedy.
  23.   Curious question more than anything - who is the third QB you're referring to after Kiel and Stevens who never made it to camps?
