I went to see this one live boys. Had excellent seats, 6 rows from the floor. I’m sure it looked bad on the tube, but I assure you, it was far uglier in the flesh. During the second half, a fan taps me on the shoulder and say’s “Is Indiana a really young team?” I said “No, there are 3 seniors and a junior on the floor right now.” She was baffled. “Do they know Ethan (Happ) won’t shoot when he’s out past 12’?” “You shouldn’t double him that far out, not with the ball side guard”. ”He’s just going to give it to the guy you left at the three point line.” I started to pay attention immediately. Damn, never should have changed my pick. I live in Madison, Wi. I got some insider information about Brevin Pritzel’s injury from a friend that morning and changed my prediction to an IU win, thinking that I had just mega-scooped you guys. I wish to change my pick. After much deliberation, I feel that with UW having injuries at key positions, students off for the holiday, and Indiana being much more comfortable playing at a slower pace than in previous seasons, IU has it’s best chance in 15 years. I will also be in the building watching, so I can’t predict a loss before I even get down there. If we can get some rebounds and defend Happ without doubling, (seriously, don’t double that kid, he’ll kill you.) don’t sag off of shooters. Don’t do it. Most important, don’t throw it away. Turn it over more than 10 times and it’s a loss...guaranteed. That said, I think IU can pull it off. Hit some shots and it’s anyone’s game.
