I'm a life long Knicks fan. I know there were the rumors last year about boosters wanting to buy CTC's contract and hire Woody. Let me just say this. After his BS Iso offense he ran in New York, the LAST thing I want is Woody getting involved in my other basketball life (Knicks and Hoosiers.) Please oh please oh please no. Dude has never recruited a day in his life. He just ruined Iman Shumpert.

absolutely. I know someone who knew. I even said to this person "these are a bunch of knuckleheads. I know that Troy has been smoking a LOT OF WEED." He looked at me with a blank face. He knew what was coming but couldn't tell me. But yes, this was known within the program for some time. -

This story has a major gap in it. This isn't your "car accident happens, passenger not wearing seatbelt ejected from vehicle." This is bizarre in so many ways. I know that right now DD is fighting his injuries, but we haven't heard about HIS BAC. I'll say this much. After the loss @ Minnesota last year, the team flew home and were back in Btown by....1 AM. Two of the knuckleheads on the team that have been mentioned FREQUENTLY in this thread arrived at my house at around 2 AM. They both took at LEAST 5 pulls from a bottle of vodka. They were offered rides home. They declined. One of them drove. Neither was 21 at the time. Right now the most important thing is the health of Devin. However, there is ABSOLUTELY an issue with the discipline of the program. It is sad because, like some have mentioned, the basketball kids are kings on the campus and can really go about getting a ride from anyone with ease. There are probably 20,000 kids on the IUB campus that would LOVE to get the chance to give a ball player a sober ride. Instead, things like this happen. Say it aloud - one teammate ran another teammate over with a car on Halloween night. It's just unfathomable to have this happen. Yes, there is a problem with the culture surrounding the program. -

No problem. Keep in mind, i'm no expert by any means, but I picked up on a lot of things... A disclaimer really quickly as well: There wasn't much defense being played, and there was no banging in the paint at all. Keep that in mind. 1. Blackmon Jr. is awesome in a lot of ways. He doesn't look like a freshman out there. He is a pretty nice dude on first impression; I was at practice for the very last few minutes and and I were crossing paths, he stopped and introduced himself. Not all college/pro ball players do that, but that's telling you that water is wet. 2. Yogi was a blaze. I even said it on the broadcast to Andy; don't blink. He looks to be in great shape, and he looks like he is ready to take that next step up the hierarchy of Big Ten leaders. 3. Hoetzel apparently ruffled some folks' feathers I see; look, he's clearly got some confidence and maybe he doesn't carry himself the same way the "average" kid does; (but what is the "average" anyway) still, I personally think you'd rather have a kid who is confidence in himself and his abilities, rather than someone who is not. I'm sure he was feeling some nerves in his first exposure to a relatively packed Assembly Hall, and still went out and won that 3 point contest (granted, it wasn't the most rigorous contest.) 4. Hanner looked fine. The facts are this: He was stuck behind two top-ten NBA picks in Zeller and Vonleh, and now has his chance to make an impact. Jeremiah April doesn't figure to find himself in the rotation ANY time soon, so if he wants to be the impact athlete that he was brought here to be, the time is now. 5. Stan looked sound, was responsible with the ball, and took a lefty shot also. I don't want to say i'm looking for exceptionally big things from him, but i'm curious to see what sort of a role he takes on as the calendar changes to wintery months. The good thing about Hanner is that the ball is going to spend the majority of the time on the perimeter. If Hanner can contribute around 10 and 8 a game, he is doing a great job. It's up to him. I was kind of disappointed by Troy's second round dunk, doing the same thing that Devin Davis did on the opening dunk of the contest. Hope that helps.
