  2. Indiana offensive lineman Dan Feeney could be a late first-rounder or an early second-rounder, according to Pauline, who reports he has visited the Vikings, Bears and Colts. Feeney also has meetings with the 49ers and Rams on tap. The Dolphins have also worked out Feeney, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, who adds Miami has also spent “considerable time” with Western Kentucky guard Forrest Lamp.
  3. OVERVIEW Devine's father, Desmond, played football at Fresno City College before a knee injury ended his career. He helped his son become a solid high school back at vaunted Glenville High School, but Indiana was his only scholarship offer through most of the recruiting process. The Hoosiers got a good back in Redding, who was the first back since Vaughn Dunbar in 1990-91 to have back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. He was an honorable mention All-Big Ten pick in 2016 (253-1,122, seven TDs rushing; 27-146, two TDs receiving), one season after reaching four digits in rushing as a sophomore (226-1,012, nine TDs rushing; 12-85 receiving). In his first season with the program, he played in 10 games (29-118, one TD). ANALYSIS STRENGTHS Patient runner who operates with desired tempo for zone scheme. Runs with wide eyes and good peripheral vision on stretch plays and sweeps. Responds quickly when cut-back lane begins to develop for him. Pace is good from first to second level. Has a feel for development of blocking in front of him and is able to make a sudden decision when necessary. Smooth in his reads from first to second level. Has subtle, efficient shifts in direction without gearing down when rolling downhill. Decisive runner with feet in a constant state of chop while probing for openings. WEAKNESSES Could use more weight on his frame. Runs with hip tightness that strangles his ability to make sharp cuts and directional changes. Has tendency to roll into cuts which puts him into harm's way prematurely. Lacks memorable power at impact and will lose more battles than he wins when challenging with force. Has very few clean broken tackles over last two seasons. Leg drives and contact balance are inconsistent. Quicker than fast. May struggle to keep runs play-side and out-race the defense to the corner. Primarily a check-down and swing pass option in passing game. NFL COMPARISON Alex Collins BOTTOM LINE Garden variety zone-scheme runner who has the decisiveness and vision to operate in that offense, but lacks the explosiveness, size and play strength to make a living as an NFL starter. Redding is more of a grinder than a special talent, and he'll likely just get what is blocked, but he's also capable enough to handle work in a zone scheme if called upon and should compete for the third running back spot. http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/devine-redding?id=2558139
  4. OVERVIEW In most cases, guards are not on "draft watch" after their junior seasons. Feeney's talent, though, made everyone in Indiana happy that he decided to return to school in 2016. The Illinois product started all 12 games for the Hoosiers at right guard as a true freshman, garnering honorable mention All-Big Ten honors. A pre-season foot injury caused him to redshirt the 2013 season, but he returned the following year with another honorable mention all-conference season. Feeney was a third-team All-American and first-team All-Big Ten pick in his third year at right guard, allowing no sacks during the seasons. Coaches asked Feeney to move to right tackle at times during his first-team All-American/Big Ten senior season due to injuries at that position. ANALYSIS STRENGTHS Tough guy with a banger mentality. Decent arm length for the position. Above-average pass protector on interior. Feet are light enough to slide quickly in either direction to protect the edge in pass-pro. Very aware of twists and blitzes. Shoots a strong punch that can jar gap shooters out of the gap and can put a sting into both twisters as he snaps and catches. Zone-blocking specialist with desired lateral quickness. Takes well-planned routes up to second-level targets on difficult backside cutoffs. Able to get around corner with pace when asked to long pull. Good patience. Finds his landmarks and strikes them. Rarely commits early to a block. Waits until he's in proper position. Plays with redirect power in his upper body. Will take it to the whistle and looks to finish with some menace. Effective blocker in screen game. WEAKNESSES Carries weight in upper body and lacks some sand in his pants. Pops upright after the snap. Poor pad level and a narrow base creates contact-balance issues. Shows a lack of knee bend that makes change of direction in space a task. Is a bit straight-linish in his approach. Unable to generate consistent push as a base blocker. Needs to improve hip sink for better leverage and to sustain his blocks. Hand speed is decent but punch is a little wide. Missed all of 2013 with a foot injury and missed four games due to effects from a concussion sustained early in the season. SOURCES TELL US "If he's a zone-only guard then what is his value? You can find those types of guards in the later rounds and not spend as much money on them. If you think he's more than just a zone guard then he goes on the second day (Rounds 2-3). I wouldn't take him until the third day personally." -- AFC scouting director NFL COMPARISON Clint Boling BOTTOM LINE Four-year starter and two-time team captain, Feeney has been the consistent anchor along an Indiana offensive line that helped to produce NFL running backs Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard. Feeney is a quality zone blocker with an ability to pull and lead the charge, but he might lack the play strength to become a reliable base blocker. His intelligence and ability to operate in space and protect the quarterback could make him an early starter with a ceiling of above-average NFL guard or center. http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/dan-feeney?id=2557873
  5. We'll likely never know whether it was suicide or if someone else did it. For what its worth I'm into the conspiracy stuff too, and I dont believe at all that Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK but thats a discussion for another day. lol
  6. I'm right there with you Fleek, I dont feel sorry for him at all but something just seems off about it. I do feel horrible for his little girl though, hopefully she finds peace with everything and doesnt let her dads decisions effect the rest of her life.
  7. I agree, honestly I think he would've been acquitted in a new trial. There was reasonable doubt in the first trial and the prosecution never proved he actually murdered lloyd. Like I said earlier I dont think he personally killed Odin Lloyd, he may have covered it up or wanted him dead no one truly knows but I dont think he actually did it.(he would still be in jail either way so no I'm not saying I think he was completely innocent, he was where he deserved to be) We truly never know what someone is thinking, but I've always thought suicide is a cowards way out. Something just isnt sitting right with me on this and I have doubt he actually hung himself. His lawyer is already pushing for an investigation.
  8. I truly think he had something mentally wrong. I don't think it's as simple as what a lot of people say that he was just a bad guy. I hope they study his brain because I have to believe there is a lot of brain damage. (Side note: Fwiw I don't think he killed Odin Lloyd, I think he knew it was happening or tried to cover it up but I don't believe for a second he was the one that actually done it.) 9. Wow. Aaron Hernandez won his trial against double murder, was about to appeal his case for the other murder, and then he committed suicide this morning. Definitely feel for his little girl, her life will never be the same. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. I coached a few years of High School baseball, and one thing I will never do is coach little kids. The parents are 1,000 times worse at that age. Granted most of the kids I coached were only a couple years younger than me so they knew better than to try the stuff they would on an older coach, but I also made it clear that if a parent didnt like what I was doing they could take their son home(no parent took me up on that offer) I was an assistant but the head coach was only the head coach because he was a teacher and the previous HC quit in the middle of the season and he didnt want the kids season to end. After his first year he stayed on as HC but let me and a couple other former players run things. One story I did have was a kid who was about 4-5 yrs younger than I was and he had a bad attitude and always wanted to fight/defy authority. He honestly had a rough upbringing, I was later told his dad beat on him and called him every name in the book and just walked out one day. Well one day I kicked him off the field and after practice went back and dragged him back on it and he and I had a long heart to heart followed by a lot of running. I told him that I will be on his ass every day whether it was at school or at practice and he didnt have the option to quit, but I also told him I would always be the first one there to support him if he ever needed it. One day another coach called him a worthless piece of shit because he did a take out slide trying to break up a double play and that coach and I went nose to nose over it, and after it happened I grabbed that kid and gave him a big hug because he was crying. I came to find out later that he wasnt crying because his feelings were hurt he was crying because no one ever stood up for him before. I told him that I may be an asshole but I will always be there if he needed anything. Now many years later that same kid is in the military and about to be married. The day he graduated boot camp he called me and just said thank you. Kids like that makes it all worth it.
  11. I'd be thrilled with just getting one of them, I guess I'm just having big dreams today lol I dont see either of them wanting to wait that long to start unfortunately.
  12. Come on Coach Schill, do your thing.
  13. "Moore said that one of his biggest takeaways from the meeting with Miller and Flint was how straightforward they were with their plan for him. “They didn’t put any fluff on it,” he said. “They didn’t try to butter anything up. They just told me the plan that they saw and the goals that they’re trying to reach, the success they’re looking for. It was all truth.” That was my biggest takeaway from that article. I love that, no bs no used car salesman lines, just straight forward.
  14. Just taking a look at the top ranked players of next years class and just imagine if Archie could get both Garland and Romeo, or Phinisee and Romeo. I think this place would be down for a week. lol
  15. WOW, I didnt realize Schilling and the Brooks family were close. I'm loving that hire more and more.
  16. Come on WBOD, youre making too much sense again.

  18. I can't stand LeBron but absolutely nothing about his game would be any different if he played in the "old" era. He would physically impose his will like he does now. To say it was more physical and today's players couldn't handle it is an absolute joke. The guys play according to the rules today just like the older guys would have. To think they couldn't handle more physicality is honestly rather shortsighted/dumb. People choose to remember days of old as the greater years regardless of what you're talking about or what really happened. Case and point, people cry about super teams now but those were started when guys like Jordon, Magic, Bird, etc etc played. Michael Jordon coming out a few years ago and saying he would've never joined up with superstars to chase titles is pure stupidity. MJ already had a loaded team, Magic had a loaded team, and Bird had a loaded team. They were all already doing the same thing they claimed they would never do. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  19. I'm right there with you lol Shaq is one of my favorite players of all time along with Alonzo Mourning and I've never really like Kobe.
  20. I wish both the Pacers and Cavs could lose this series. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  21. ^ just to hit on two of Lucels points. Our WR's did drop a lot of passes but the potential is definitely there like he said. I think having Simmie back will help take the pressure off the rest of our WR's. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  22. I don't see any chance Priller transfers. I'm honestly not sure why some people think it will happen. I doubt he transfers when his girlfriend followed him to IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  23. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/19161911/todd-heap-accidentally-hits-kills-3-year-old-daughter-moving-truck http://es.pn/2nNWhKP Sad tragic accident. No family should ever have to go through something like this. :( Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. Ramsey outplayed Lagow imo. Ideally I'd like Ramsey to sit another year if we had a good B1G level starter but we don't so I hope he gets the nod this year. Glad Fant is ok, that looked horrible and my biggest concern was I hope he didn't break his neck. Ball is an absolute freak, his run on offense was impressive. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  25. Just finished the first quarter. Simmie is simmie. Ian Thomas looks good. Lagow looks the same and Ramsey outplayed him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
