The Mavericks have officially exercised their 2017/18 team option on Yogi Ferrell‘s contract, according to RealGM’s transactions log. A Saturday report had indicated that the Mavs informed Ferrell his option would be picked up. An undrafted free agent out of Indiana, Ferrell was a revelation on his first 10-day contract with the Mavericks last winter, stepping right into the starting lineup at the point and recording 32 points in his fourth game with the club. Ferrell’s impressive first week with the franchise earned him a rest-of-season deal with a second-year option. For the season, Ferrell averaged 11.3 PPG, 4.3 APG, and a .412/.403/.877 shooting line in 36 games (29 starts) in Dallas. He also appeared in 10 games for the Nets earlier in the season, though his numbers in Brooklyn were more modest (5.4 PPG, 1.7 APG). As our team option tracker for 2017/18 shows, the Mavs had to make decisions on three club options before the end of the month. The club has elected to turn down its options on Dirk Nowitzki and DeAndre Liggins, though Nowitzki figures to be back on a renegotiated contract.

Silver just looks like a complete dork. I'm just waiting for one of the draft picks to give him a giant wedgie. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Yep. It's not a horrible pick but I think there were better options. I don't like to doubt Pat Riley though. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I don't understand that pick. Granted we'll probably have the best defensive post in the league but a shooting PF would've been a better option. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Well there went Mitchell lol Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I'm curious to see who Pat Riley picks. On a Heat site I've seen OG mentioned a lot but I think it'll be Mitchell or John Collins. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Minnesota with KAT, Wiggins, and Butler? I bet Thibs is pretty excited. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Where does everyone think the IU guys will go? OG - 19 or later Thomas Bryant - Mid 40's (I dont think he'll go undrafted) JBJ - undrafted

Thats why I never understood Pacer fans having a meltdown, this is the league of superteams and risks of course teams would go after him. As soon as more than 1 team wanted him the Pacers got all of their leverage back.

It sounds like third-string quarterback Nate Sudfeld has a good chance of making the Redskins‘ final cut. When asked about the 2016 sixth-round pick, senior vice president of player personnel was effusive in his praise. “Sudfeld’s one of my favorites,” Williams said (via Dan Steinberg of The Washington Post). “You know, he was one of the guys, when we drafted him, when we sat in the room [and] we talked about drafting a quarterback, I was a Sudfeld guy. You know, none of [the prospects] took snaps up under the center; they all stood back in the shotgun. He was at Indiana, but when you watched him and the guys at a couple more schools, there was something about him that you liked. And I think he’s learned how to take the snap from under center; he gets the ball out of his hands.” Sudfeld did not see the field last season.

I want this kid at IU bad. Probably more so than any other recruit in the last 5 years or so. -
76ers and Pacers both suck imo. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I've not seen Tatum pop up anywhere, they're extremely high on Jackson though according to reports.

^ agreed on the vacating wins part. Vacating wins is the biggest joke of a punishment ever. UofL got off pretty easy imo, but I think this sets the stage for UNC to get off easy too. Looks like the NCAA copied the Coach K style of punishing.

^ agreed shouldn't have been a foul. And Tristan Thompson needs to stop. David West would pound his face in. Plus you had JR Smith being the little dog that barks and acts tough when no ones looking. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Honestly I dont think he would've chose OSU over IU if he had the chance back then.
