It's a process. We will be better from what they learned tonight. Our guys will get better every game. We all know this team is flawed as far as having knock down shooters, we should have that solved next year. That being said, we have the best collection of athletes I have seen us put on the floor. Our guys will get better every game. It would be a mistake to read too much into one road game against a top 10 opponent whose strength (zone defense) plays into our weakness. We will have our ups and downs this year because of youth and lack of consistent outside shooting, next year, bring em on. My hope is we see the FR and SO continue to develop and next year we will be locked and loaded. Crean develops kids that want to get better and we have the type of athletes that will continue to improve if they are committed.

They are a guard dominated team in scoring. If we contain the guards we will win the game. I would attack the guards off the dribble, if either starter gets in foul trouble they won't be able to hang with us. Between attacking the guards and pounding the paint, I like our chances. They have no answer for NV and don't have the athletes at the 3 and 4 to hang with us. I hope they push the pace and make it a track meet, our depth will wear them out.

It is obvious CTC solved the weakness of this year's team, kids that stretch the floor by consistently hitting from 3.We have all the other pieces, athletes, length at all positions, rebounding, and kids that can play multiple positions. Our bigs will continue to improve. For those questioning Fischer, I don't think you can underestimate a kid that played 2 years in HS without losing a game. I think before he leaves IU he is going to be one heck of a player and contribute in a huge way. I for one can't wait to see this team take the floor next year with 3 pure shooters to add to the mix. We may be up and down this year because of our inexperience and youth and lack of consistent outside shooting, next year we will have all the parts and be a handful from the first game. IU is set up to have a top 10 team for years to come.

CTC wouldn't be the coach at IU if he couldn't coach. You don't advance in the coaching profession without winning games and he is at one of the top programs in the country. For those that say developing talent isn't coaching, I disagree. Good coaches develop talent and Crean has a resume as good as any as far as that is concerned. To evaluate CTC or any coach on one bad game (Syracuse) where the match ups were awful for us to begin with is short sighted. Coaching involves recruiting, player development, and X's and O's duuring a game. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is Crean is a solid coach in every respect.

We need Yogi, Sheehey, and JH to be threats from 3 or we will have teams playing zone and packing the middle. CTC solved the problem with the recruiting class next year, but I don't see us having the pure shooters this year. Hopefully our defense, length and athleticism will allow us to become a tough team to beat by the end of the year even if we aren't the best 3 point shooting team. I don't know that we have ever put the type of athletes we can put on the floor this year at all 5 positions. Can't wait to watch them mature. Next year, watch out! If we get him great. If we don't we will be just fine. The only thing this year's team is lacking is shooting and CTC has already solved that. I don't know that IU has ever put a more athletic team on the floor than we will have this year. We just need shooters and next year we will have kids that can flat out shoot. We have the pieces in place to be good for years to come. Can't wait to watch the future unfold.

I will be in the Butler section as well sporting my IU red. You take good tickets wherever you can find them. Can't wait to see this year's team play. My 3rd year of making it from Texas to the Crossroads Classic. At least we don't have to play them this year. I hate making their year like we did last year.
