4 years ago when Brad made it clear he wasn’t coming @Chris007 came on here and took some lumps. Same last year and I remember tossing some angst his way but he was here. IF the Stevens thing does not happen it will come out in more detail and I know Chris will be here. For now I think we should consider other options and discuss but I see no reason to be convinced Stevens to IU is over based on what we have seen.

Stevens said “I thoroughly appreciate being a Celtic and love the people I get to work with everyday”. Then he supposedly said he is not a candidate for the job but it is not a definite no and is interestingly not quoted. Ok maybe he is out but Dusty says this and yet he is still possible. “But that stuff’s crazy. I love being at Michigan. I love our team. We’re fighting like crazy. That’s it. This place is my foundation, but I’m very, very happy at the University of Michigan. We were here to win a game, and mission accomplished.”

So Chris, ap, JY and RTz have said it is over. I did not see their posts.

Has Chris, ap, JY or RTZ chimed in after the “comment” from “Brad”? Has there been any other comments from Stevens denying interest? Surely I missed another comment but was out for the evening and playing catchup now. Not sure why everyone has given up.

Sure glad you have joined the site and have brought so much positivity. Not singularly focused on Steven’s but sharing your enthusiasm and joy with every post. If you could let us poor saps know who we should hope for it would help.

OK I got the wording wrong but 3 days ago I suggested this could be coming. Remember, Brad loves popcorn.

If he is at the All Star game events and he has not signed anything he can easily ignore and to be honest, no one will really ask. He can watch the activities and enjoy a really nice box of popcorn. If you have ever been in Hinkle, you can smell the popcorn when you first walk in but as a coach he did not get many chances to enjoy. This not microwave popcorn but lovely popcorn cooked in that mystery oil and salt product that produces the most amazing snack ever enjoyed at sporting events or movies. I Now, if he signed something, word will get out. He probably will not even be able to get in line for the popcorn without being harassed let alone eat it in peace. If he is having to hurry he will not be able to see which popcorn machine is about to pour out fresh hot popcorn and will make the mistake of getting a box from the machine full of broken popcorn bits. Popcorn bits are really worse than microwave popcorn but fresh hot popcorn, i mean do i need to say more. And if you can distract your wife, you can sneak over to the fake butter contraption and get just a little of that on there too. Most of you can kind of smell the popcorn now can't you? Waiting till after the all-star weekend (which is this weekend right) so that a man can enjoy some popcorn makes so much sense. I am not sure how this can be hard to understand. Dont let the new trolls distract us. We understand waiting a little bit especially if it means you get to enjoy some fresh popcorn in peace at the All Star game stuff.

Seeing what he has done this year has honestly moved him equal to Stevens for me. I give a slight nod to Stevens mainly to shut up anyone saying no chance. If in our pursuit of him I hope we can not make May feel like a backup
