Great game to have on CBS

Just a throwback to before he committed. She had her reservations about Thomas playing for IU, then there was a little more trouble. I didn't know if anyone had heard if she's pleased about Thomas's progression. Just curious

Not trying to derail with a Patty Williams discussion, but has anyone seen or heard anything that Thomas Bryant's mom has said about her her feelings about Thomas playing for IU recently?

It really is funny. I'm referring to the ones who have nothing to add to our forums, other than "fire crean", "we suck", "can't believe how awful we are", "we used to be so much better", etc. -

Former Indiana University basketball player and Terre Haute native Armon Bassett was arrested Wednesday in his hometown. According to Indiana court records, Bassett faces three felony charges and a misdemeanor as a result of the arrest. Bassett is scheduled to be in court for an initial hearing on the case Tuesday at 9:03 a.m. The charges are aggravated battery (Felony 3), battery resulting in serious bodily injury (Felony 5), domestic battery in the presence of a child under 16-years-old (Felony 6) and domestic batter (Misdemeanor Class A). According to the Terre Haute Tribune-Star, the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department was called to the Terre Haute Regional Hospital emergency room Wednesday night, where Carrie Pohlman told deputies that she had been battered by Bassett and his cousin as a result of Bassett being asked to move his belongings out due to the couple breaking up. She alleged that Bassett chased her through the house with a container of bleach and eventually poured it on her face in front of her 9-year-old son, potentially causing damage to her left eye. Bassett said Pohlman poured bleach on him first. According to Christian County (Ky.) Circuit Court records, Bassett was already due to face sentencing on Jan. 20 on charges of trafficking marijuana (under 8 ounces) while armed, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance not in its original container. Those charges stem from a January 2014 arrest and guilty plea last November, the Tribune-Star reports. Bassett played at IU from 2006-2008 under Kelvin Sampson and transferred to Ohio University after Sampson resigned in 2008. He averaged 10.4 points, 3.2 assists and 2.5 rebounds per contest in 61 career games for the Hoosiers. **credit to Jeremy Price @scoophoosiershq

DID YOU KNOW? • Sunday's matchup with Michigan will be Indiana's first home Big Ten contest of 2015-16 and the first time the Wolverines have played in Assembly Hall since Feb. 19, 2014. • The Hoosiers are taking advantage of getting to the free throw line as Indiana has made more free throws (198) than its opponents have attempted (154) and lead the Big Ten in free throws made (17th in the country) and attempts. • IU is shooting 72.0 percent from the charity stripe as a team and outscoring foes 198-101 at the free throw line. • Indiana faced seven teams that played in the postseason a year ago during non-conference play, five of those teams played in the NCAA Tournament last season, making Indiana just one of 11 programs in the power five conferences to have played five or more NCAA teams from 2015 in non-conference play. • Sophomore Tyra Buss has scored in double figures in every game this year to average 19.3 points per game (ranking 33rd nationally) to go along with 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game (leads team). • Buss ranks third in the nation in free throws made (86) and attempts (110) while shooting 78.2 percent from the charity stripe. • Amanda Cahill has achieved a double-double in each of the last two games, now totaling three on the year and nine in her career. She had 13 points and a season-high tying 11 boards at Wisconsin last time out and finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Yale on Dec. 28. • Cahill is shooting 50 percent from the field and 42.1 percent (6th in B1G) from 3-point range while averaging 13.2 points (26th) and 7.5 (T-9th) rebounds per game to lead IU. • The Hoosiers have shot 50 percent or better five times this year, most recently a 54 percent outing vs. Yale on Dec. 28. IU shot 50 percent or above five times in all of last season in 2014-15. ***iuhoosiers.com
